"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesnít serve the world. Thereís nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people wonít feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Itís not just in some of us; itís in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As weíre liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
By Marianne Williamson

NOTE: I am a Night Owl/Insomniac...Morning People are an absolute enigma to me. The Good Lord thought it humorous to bless me with two boys that are Morning People. Fortunately, one is going through a growing spurt and sleeping in. Jesus does indeed love me.

Wow. I never thought being hot and healthy would make people sneer as much as they do at someone obese. I need to think about this. You have every right to be full of self-confidence. You look very hot! You look like a model, you know. :) Rock on! Be proud of your accomplishment. Yes.. Happy Healthy!!!

Oh Liz, I know how you feel. I am blessed with not looking my age and they thought my daughter was my sister for years. She was 10 and they thought I was 25, when I was actually 36. I mean, could you imagine the looks and they did the mental math and judged.

That's right. You shine so bright and that is to set an example. Keep being who you were created to be.

It sucks that they don't see the blessing that they are missing. If they got to know you maybe they would learn hnw to achieve what you achieved!

Do I need to relocate to Snowtown and school them??????

Definitely do not dim your light for anyone!!!

You are a BRIGHT, beautiful light, meant to SHINE!!!
emoticon emoticon emoticon

Anyone who behaves that way is probably not anyone you would want anything to do with, so no loss there. Just have to put your superhero shield up to ignore them and move on with whatever you would like to do. They don't deserve to occupy any space in your brain or time in your life -- don't let them! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I beam with happiness when my friends are happy and successful! It truly can make my day. I just don't get that mindset, but it is THEIR problem, and not yours.

Sounds like you are on the right path to owning it! How wonderful for you & your kids!

I think you deserved a rant. You have a such a bright, supernova light, you absolutely must shine. The world needs that. It's hard not to react to people but I think you're definitely on the right track. Haters gonna hate. Why??? I wish everybody could just let everybody's light shine and focus on shining their own. Everybody would be SO much happier. Guess that's a little thing called Heaven. It's not fair. I have lots of friends who are thin, fit and gorgeous. Some of them can't help it; they don't even try. But you know what? They just want to be friends. I can't punish them for looking the way I wish I did. Good grief, they're not concerned with how I look. They just want to be able to be themselves and they're happy with me being me. I think some people lash out because they feel bad about themselves. Why? Why? Why? Those women are wasting the opportunity at an amazing friendship with an amazing woman (that's you, by the way). Why waste it by being jealous and bitter? What does it get them? Grrrr. Haters gonna hate and then go home and be miserable. You gonna love and shine and be JOYFUL! That's the difference. You're on the right path.
And good for you for standing tall when Manboy got off the bus. Let your kids see you being proud of yourself. It trickles all over the whole family. Own your happiness!

emoticonYou are so emoticon, Lizzie! Yes, you are a success~ you've shed the pounds and now the journey of maintenance begins. You're doing the wise thing by 'rasslin' with all these emotions, getting them OUT, which is so key, and bringing those hard fears to the light of day. Guess what? Once you reveal your fears, bring them into the light~ they lose their power.

As for our fellow humans who choose to hate (they're the ones holding onto their fears!), choose to belittle, choose to put down and make judgments~ hey, we've gotta learn to love the sinner and hate their sins. Our Father will deal with them in His time.

In the meantime, keep on letting your precious light shine, babydoll. You are a child of God and you have every right to shine! *hugs* With love, BB~ emoticon emoticon~*~ I love you~*~ emoticon

I am sorry that your "loved ones" are not treating you as "loved ones" should...nothing hurts more.
As much as I would like to tell you to try and avoid people like that it's not always possible. So sad that there are those who take more pleasure in our failures than in our successes.
I just don't get it. I love to tell people how great they look - especially other women. It makes me happy to see them happy.
Hmm...I was 36 when my daughter turned 18 but after so many years of being judged I just took pride in the wonderful woman she had become.
So {insert any word you like} 'em!

I feel ya sister!!! When you don't fit the area 'standard' it makes all those 'standard' people resent you because you are, frankly, at a higher standard. It's their issue completely.

**ALSO, when your flame is burning brightly, it attracts a lot of PESTS!! ;) hah

Truly I understand 100%, even when I took care of myself to the hilt in California, it was fine, because even my best made me the 'standard', more or less, there were others soaring above that standard because they were genetically GIFTED, nothing I could do about that! The minute I moved to the Midwest I encountered that intense ..ummm...rejection, I guess. And suspicion, and hostility, from other women mostly. It was sad. I was bright and vivacious and outgoing, with good intentions and the hopes of making good friends and came up immediatley against the country folk 'closing ranks'. I had the definate feeling they were keeping one hand on their husbands as well (and that was even when I was heavier!) It took me a while to grasp that that was THEIR issue, since I finally would hear local gossip about the local past time of affairs. I wanted to say, "Don't worry, I have no interest in your inbred, ignorant, tobacco spitting, rotten teethed men!" Relax! (OH MY FREAKNG GOSH, did I ever tell you that after awhile, one of the local men's clubs was asking my husband to join with the main selling point that 'we don't mess with each others wives'!! ROFLMAOOOOO Like REGARDLESS, I would have any interset in any of the local hillbillies even if I was inclined to be that way?? Hubby and I both still laugh about that one. How in the WORLD would they even DREAM that they could get ME??????? LMAO

It always has been for 12 years now, a "who does she think she is" vibe. "Going around with her hair and her makeup with all her TEETH!" rofl It's truly not our problem , it's theirs, but they'd like to make it ours and I guess in reality they kind of due, by 'shunning' us. Their loss but yes, it is lonely. THEN AGAIN...would we want their company? Would we have anything in common? I doubt it. Be YOU and laugh at the ignorance of others!! Move near me and we will wreck havoc just by being ourselves! :))

Gained weight because I'm emotionally eating. It's the way I do conflict resolution; abuse myself with food. It seems to quiet the inner turmoil even if it's only temporary..

The hair thing ,,I SERIOUSLY understand!! It is one reason I started working out MORE because I figured if it's screwed up from 1 day of workiing out, I may as well get yet another day in before I start over, wash it, etc.....but one day turns into the next...and well, if you were to see my hair RIGHT would run in HORROR. Not only is it overdue, I WAY overused the products last time!! haha

KNow how you feel on the w/o...I don't want to do it but I feel SO glad when it's over and feel better!!

OH and just an afterthought, You deserve one private room to workout in in your own house! I am fiercely private about that stuff!! My bedroom is my sanctuary and when I'm working out, Hubs in under orders to use the OTHER bathroom and not walk through on me. I gotta be RELAXED and alone to do it, exercise that is! ;)
