Breaks are good. Change is good. Do what you need.

sometimes change is very refreshing. when we moved into the Bible belt, we were afriad of small churches for fear I'd be mowing the lawn once a week in no time. LOL

Hey Liz..........change is good, isn't that what they say? Ah, sometimes it is awesome, and other times, it is just........difficult.

Just remember that in the end, you need to do what is best for you!

Luv ya bunches!

There is a season of doing and a season of rest. There is a season of giving and a season of receiving. We are like the wine skin and need to be refilled from time to time. There is no negative in needing a break Liz. emoticon

    Happy Belated Canada Day! :)

Here is my take on exercise.........if it isn't fun, it is just a pain in the butt!
Find something you like (gardening?) and make the most of it! Dancing? Walking? Mix it up, make it fun. Otherwise, you will hate it and bail on it in short order.

You rock the tattoo's!

It's called a "work" out, not a "fun" out or "relax" out. Sometimes it really sucks. But I promise you, when you get done, you will never say "I wish I hadn't worked out today."

You are worth the time and effort Liz. emoticon I used to take my boys walking with me individually so they could have some mama time. It was usually well except for the time Jess had to "go" and used some leaves as paper. Poison ivy is not pretty. emoticon

Happy Canada Day emoticon

I am going to start my own paper clip chain!! I have large one that are all different colors and they are also about an inch long. So as I add one more, that will be like an inch gone!!! I love it!!! I also agree that without God guiding us parenting would be impossible!! My son should be glad that I follow God's commandments, like the one Thou Shalt Not Kill!!! Ha ha!!!

Liz, what a trip down memory lane. emoticon When Robert used to work nights the kiddos would find reason to climb in bed with mom. We also had snuggle time right before bed. Those days were so sweet. Like you it was me the five kiddos and a queen size bed. Tator will still stop in for snuggle time in the evenings. The others are grown and about their own lives now. As for the headboard, you aren't missing anything. Especially if yours would be like mine. The whole house knows when we roll over.

You are doing such a wonderful job on your weight loss journey. Visuals are a great idea. Love the paperclips.

Praying your shoulder feels better soon. emoticon

With like 36 kids, you have a lot of birthdays.

Every bed should be a Hank. I mean a king. Yes, a KING!

Just saying, but hook some cereal box toy onto that paper clip chain and SB will pay you like $8 for it and be thrilled.

Rev. Croc love. Nice to hear that Liz.

In many ways you and God share the same parenting skills. God loves us, sorta pats us on the head, loves us some more and really hopes that one day we will "get it."

Just because I look good doesn't mean I'm for sale...

Hugs sweetie. It's terrible when people do things like that or try to ( I was lucky and got away). But it still effected me. It makes us feel like it's our fault. It's not, we did nothing wrong.
I'm glad we're both learning to love ourselves and not let what they did control our lives.

Such a beautiful lady... and we are so often walking in the "wake" of such challenging examples ... That did the best they could... and we do the best we can... 1. to break from the tend, and 2. Identify ourselves as an individual.

I am glad you are taking the steps towards this (I think we are constantly working on things, never fully "arrive")....

Have a great day!

You are beautiful. You presenting the blessing that God has created in you is not a reason to hide. Thank you for sharing. I can relate as I always tried to hide my shape when I was younger. Big and baggy was the way to go.

So happy you loved yourself better. emoticon

Liz, while your weight loss ticker movement has been inspiring, nothing has been more inspiring than seeing you on this journey with yourself, and with the demons that you are kicking to the curb. I love you because you are real. No pretenses at all. No false happy when it's not there. You share all of you, and to me, every time you do, it's a gift to all who watch. And yes, an advertisement of sorts - that you are a remarkable woman.

That is why I loved turning 40 almost 4 years ago!! When I turned 40 it finally dawned on me, that I was an adult and that no one had the right to say anything or hurt me anymore, and that empowered me. Some would say I became a Bee-Itch, I just say I got tired of everyones She-It!!! You go my beautiful friend!!! Luv Ya!! Shannon

Nooooo....Dermatologist says NOOOO tanning. Self tanner only! Esp as fair as you are.

That is a timely message also for me. Fear (that thing I hate) tells me that while looking good may may not say a car is 'for sale', it may make someone want to steal it, and I hate admitting that. I actually had a visiting relative tell me it was probably a 'good thing' that I 'gained weight' upon moving here or I probably have been a target for something bad. Really? I have to be fat to be protected? How about I lose weight and carry a gun like everyone else? hah Even though I still feel fat, I go out of my way to look decent when I leave the house...but here is the weird thing; because of the rural area, my 'decent' stands out and I don't like it. I always want to return a stare and have the guts to say, "What the hell are YOU looking at?" My mental block is that voice from 'somewhere' (parent?) that says, "Who does she think SHE is?" if I look remotely polished in comparison to the norm. Its just unfortunate the norm around me is kind of scary!! Screw it, that's their problem, I'm putting on a decent face and clothes that make ME happy when I leave my house, for ME...not them. None of us should have to 'hide it under a bushel'......let it shine girl! I'm with ya!

Yard hair. You wear it well. Loved the way you primped for a moment after the apology, not being a primper myself. I love the way tall drink o water just rolls with your banter. He's a great straight man, and probably a great big (pun?) brother.
You rock, Liz. My kids can come live with you when yours are all gone, if you don't mind 35 year olds that gnosh a wee bit.
