Week 3 P90x

Today was Chest and Back and Ab ripper x again. I must say i am getting better...lol..Still have to do push ups from the knees though but am
able to get closer and closer to the floor.

I am using a 40 pound resistance band now for pull ups, which alot of men use. I feel the strength increasing in my upper body. Some days i get overwhelmed by it all, having to eat alot more protein with this program and little carbs to start out with. But i am sticking to my guns and seeing this 3 month program through. Here's to another successful week for all of us...

I never thought using weights and resistance bands would be so fun. What a feeling it is to feel your body get stronger. My muscles are pretty sore but in a great way.

I am still having trouble with Chest and Back---mainly the pushups, as my arm
strength isn't there yet but i am sure i will be able to do a few in time.

One thing i dislike is Yoga. My arms are not strong enough to hold poses for 90 mins. I much prefer to do any cardio workout than yoga!!

Well i am off to do pylo... wish me luck..

    I love getting these reports on how things are going. With how hard you're working I suspect we'll soon be hearing how strong your arms have gotten. It's funny I love yoga, I suck at it but I love how I can feel the improvement in my flexibility since I started doing it. Keep us posted on those arms! hehe

Harvest is Done and Now i am back, Time to work hard

Hi everyone :)

I know its been awhile since i have been on. Way too long as far as i am concerned. Harvest was pretty heck here once again. I was spending 10/12 hours
a day combining for weeks. Needless to say exercise went out the door :(

I am now on day 4 of p90x and am completely loving it. From everything i heard about it, i am am quite surprised. It isn't as hard as i thought it was
going to be. I guess i am in better shape than i thought.

I still am hovering in the 140's with my weight and that is all right with me as i am more interested in building mass right now and toning up after losing over 90 pounds last year.

    Tara- I wish harvest would have went better but yellow aster hit everyones canola which produced low yields not too much the 6 inches of rain we got in the spring one day , which flooded and washed alot of crops out :(

    It's great to see you back! I think it's funny you said that exercise went out the door during harvest...I think harvesting counts as exercise...nothing easy about it. I hope your harvest was a great yield for you guys. Many farmers here in Alberta lost a bunch of crop due to some really bad wind storms that came through.

Keep up that great work with the p90x, I've heard it's killer...guess it shows how great of shape you are in that it's not so hard for you! lol.

Looking forward to seeing you more often again.

I have been having such a good few weeks. I am jogging 5 miles a day, and am doing stomach, butt and thigh workouts on a daily basis. I can feel the difference
in that my body is getting toned!! WOOHOO The last 15 pounds should come off easy. emoticon emoticon

I plan on starting px90 as soon as the kids are back to school in a few weeks. Looking forward to getting my body sculpted and toned... emoticon
Hubby informed me we are off to Jamaica for a holiday in the winter, so its teeny weeny bikini time...LOL

What a good start to a morning. I am so thrilled that i was able to jog to town and back (i live on a farm) I am really liking jogging and have found a new passion. Hopefully someday i can turn it into running.
