Just stay on track the rest of the day...one meal won't ruin anything if you make good choices the rest of the day.

Have a lovely day with DH

1pm changing my day

Monday, January 07, 2013

Second blog of the day. I showered, put clothes away, did the dishes, started laundry....things are getting done. Which makes me feel stronger. I'll be headed out soon to get a briefcase to Joe, pick up Adam from school for his therapy, get some shopping done bring Adam to rehearsal, make dinner have my inlaw's for dessert....now the day will get busy. I'm over myself and my woes. Life goes on. Thanks for listening to my rant this morning.

I did not read your first blog but I am glad you are feeling better and getting things done.

I too had some chores today. Not much thought just laundry, kid's stuff like getting them ready, they are only 9yo and 7yo making their breakfast, lunches, help with HW. Then make dinner. You being a mom knows that is not our busy day just an ordinary day.

It when you have to chauffeur then all over, plus bring or do things for the family members that forget to. Like brief cases, sneakers, mail letters etc..that is not the normally route that get to be overwhelming.

Just know how wonderful you are kiddo!

It is encouraging that you are accomplishing so much, but even more so when you consider the day you had yesterday! It's ok that you ranted, but it's FANTASTIC that you are turning the day around!!!
Just goes to show that those people who made you feel inferior just don't know what they are talking about!

Bad Monday

Monday, January 07, 2013

Well, actually, bad Sunday. Went to breakfast with some relatives we only see a couple times a year. I was attacked verbally. I post so much on facebook I need a job...am I taking classes now? I just don't understand why they care? I don't accuse them of anything? I just don't get it. So last night my mom brought up something sensitive to me that had to do with the breakfast. So I got really defensive. I yelled at her. Ugggg.... I apologized this morning but finished it off with a binge. I think I'm going to get my period soon so that probably has something to do with it. Ugggg....I will drink more water today. I'll try to flush out all the salt and sugar I threw in it this morning. I know I'm nervous about Adam's musical this weekend. I always am. Breathe.... Sometimes people can make me feel like a loser. It's like they work at it. Breathe...

Embrace the healthy lifestyle full force, focus on the positive, don't listen to anyone questioning or doubting you (They're prob no experts...especially family!), and get your motivation from your immediate family. Most importantly, don't let anyone steal your dream or distract you from your goals!

people can only make you feel bad if you allow them to do so. it's ok to be firm with people if you need to do so if you need to make your own feelings known. I hope your day gets better. hugs.

Maybe you got angry because when an adult tells another adult what they should (or should not) be doing or makes a critical judgement about them, it's an expression of control, not an expression of love. You're feeling angry and upset for good reason. But you can't change them. You can only change you: your thought process, your feelings, and your responses.

If they can make you feel bad about yourself, you've given away your personal power. Reclaim it! You have the right to be who you are. And you don't need anyone's approval to be uniquely you! Sure, support is nice. But we don't always get it from the people who are related to us. When you start feeling defensive, that's a cue that you're giving away your personal power.

When I start to feel this way (and there are a few control freaks in my family, too), I take a deep breath, and relax. I don't bother defending my decisions because defending myself just pulls me further into their cycle of control. And I really don't NEED their approval. Sure it would be nice. But their approval is not mine to give. So if they don't wanna give it, well, that's their problem, not mine! But it's a really hard habit to break, especially since so many of us were raised to be people-pleasers. One phrase that I've found helpful is, "Thanks for the feedback, but I was telling you about this to share my joy with you, not to ask for your permission/approval." That goes over slightly better than, "yeah, well, it's really not your place to tell me what to do!" emoticon

So first official day with resolutions...

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

I do my best on New Year's day but I always find I'm on track with resolutions on January 2nd. My goals are ...more water, healthy eating and I will let things go...not my house :) but issues. I will not hold on to events, words assumptions.... I will take what happens as face value and move on. My goal is to be more at peace in this world. After 4 years of dancing I am happy with my exercise program and keep up with my fun me time with that! :) So really food and hydration are my wellness work this year. Not for the clothes or even to impress anyone but to feel good. I am at a place with my body and age that I want to feel good and comfortable. Life is good. Let's enjoy!
