Hi friends!

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

I love Just Dance 3 for Wii! Yesterday I sat on the end of the couch and did 30 minutes. I was actually sweating. It felt great! I felt more like myself a few minutes in. I did 45 minutes today and loved it! I'm thrilled to add fitness minutes onto my page! It's definitely great upper body and core work. Food has been much better and Joe has even mentioned how he has noticed the healthy choices I ve been making lately. I went to my therapist today and that was very helpful. Thank God for her ...and Spark. :). I had breakfast with a Greta friend...egg white omlette with spinach and mushrooms no toast and grilled tomatoes instead of home fries. Lunch with J one...burrito bowl with chicken salsa and lettuce. Yum! So a great day was had....I hope my friends are all doing well too! I'm off to log fitness minutes!

I couldn't believe when I looked at my last blog and it was from last Wenesday! What a great weekend! Adam had his swim meet this Saturday in Long Island. The team headed down Friday night and Joe and I and Josh trucked down Saturday morning. The weather was awful. Many cars off the road. Even a tractor trailer. We got their safely and Adam made sectionals with the 100 butterfly! Yay! It was great! We headed into Manhattan and checked in at the Intercontinental in Times Square. It was beautiful! While we were waiting for our room to be ready Joe walked around the corner to see if we could get tickets for How to Succeed in Business Without Trying. We were able to get tickets! Two in the 3rd row and two in the 20th! OMG! Darian Chriss from Glee was starring and it was the last weekend he would be the main character!!! Our concierge was impressed he said if he were to get those for a customer he would get $500 for each! Yay for bad weather and cancelations! We had dinner at this nice little italian place down the street that the concierge suggested and headed to the theater which was around the corner! It was an amazing show! We had the best time! The kids thought we were the best :). We went back to our hotel and the boys hit the bed hard and Joe and I went down to the bar for a drink. It was great to have some time with him. We had a great laugh with the bartender and other guests at the bar. A 100% perfect time! Sunday we hit a bistro around the corner for breakfast and walked all around Time Square. LOVE it there! It really is like a brand new experience every time I go there. The energy and the people from all over the world! Just fabulous! We went to the M&M store for Josh and got a Darian Chriss poster for Adam :). We checked out and headed to 5th Avenue for some swanky shopping for Joe. ;) He got an beautiful pair of shoes at Bergodorff Goodman. A gorgeous tie as well. Both for congrats on his new position as Sales Manager of BMW! Yeah! I said that! So psyched for him but nervous as well. Food was ok. Not great. You know I alway need a goal right? Well I've made it looking good for the gathering we will need to attend since Joe is now in management! So here we go! I'm buying Zumba for the Wii today. I can sit on the couch and at least do the upper body moves right? Get some core work with that too! Have a great day friends!

Hi Wenesday

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

So I think I've been off this week because I ran out of my allergy meds a week ago and forgot to get more. emoticon. I know.... I have to take care of me. I started taking it again last night and feel better than yesterday. I should feel more like myself in a couple days. My hairdresser let me know her neighbors son came out recently. He is a junior and she is trying to make all the right decisions and the right ways of handling things. I gave her the names of our therapists and some web sites to check out. Adam and I gave her our numbers and his Facebook info. I'm happy to be a sounding board. I'm already overwhelmed with going back over the last year. I will pray over this. Food choices have been pretty good. Egg whites with lowfat cheddar and spinach. Lunch of burrito bowl with chicken salsa and lettuce. Have a great day!

Yes, you must take good care of yourself. Of course, things run off track for us Mother's too many times.

You are so nice to be there for another person going through the same thing. I love the fact that you just give out information on what you know and that you are offering support.

Just make sure that you don't get caught up in their whirlwind.

Take care. Hugs.

Sometimes helping others can lead to us helping ourselves. Good for you, and glad you are feeling a bit better.

Hello Tuesday!

Tuesday, January 17, 2012

We had Josh's family party here on Sunday. About 25 people here again. Ugggg... glad that's done. Josh had a great time. He is 14 now! Wow! It's time to move on now. The Christmas stuff is gone. Yay! I do have a few things left but that will be put away today. I'm feeling a sinus headache again today. I'll take some more ibuprofen. I'm ready for a healthy breakfast after I blog. Eggwhites with low fat cheddar and spinach. Josh had some friends over to watch the Exorcist yesterday. Those crazy kids. Joe brought them to see some new scary movie last night. The liked it. I'm getting my hair colored today and the Joe and the boys are getting theirs cut tonight. Joe has been offered the sales manager's position at work....hmmmm. I'm nervous about this. Many haven't stayed long at this company after going into management. Also, they seem to work more hours....hmmmm. The did promise him that if it didn't work out he can go back to just sales. Joe is excited about it. I'm the pragmatic about things. We will see. They will transition him. I'll keep you updated.

The Exorcist? Really? They are nuts. I hate that show. I saw it once and I know that if my kids decide to watch that...they'll be living on their own. Ick.

Have a nice time at the salon getting your hair done. I love going there and just being with other women, listening to what's going on in the neighbourhood and just not doing anything!

Very exciting stuff with changes in the least they are offering him the chance with the proposition of returning to the sales position. I'm glad things will be slowing down for you now as I know all the hubbub can be stressful...time for a massage, lol!!

Have a great day!

Hey Saturday

Saturday, January 14, 2012

So...I felt crappy yesterday...better than Thursday but still crappy. Then...we ended up bringing Josh to the dr. because of hurting his hand during wrestling practice. After X-rays we found he broke two bones in his left hand. Ugggg... so this morning I was at the Bone and Joint center having it put in a split. I also got my monthly annoyance yesterday as well. So today I have a whole bunch of stuff to finish up before Josh's party tomorrow. Food was great yesterday. Thanks to Joe being home. Today good so far. Eggwhites with low fat cheese and spinach. Snack of greek yogurt. So far so good. Have a good day!

Sorry to hear about Josh's hand. Hope that he listens to the doctor and waits until it's fully healed before getting out there and breaking it again. I myself have a stress fracture in my thumb. I continuously keep re-breaking it, because, once it feels alright, I do something stupid. (Push too far).

Hope you feel better soon.
