Wenesday and ready to move it along.

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

I'm happy to get this day going. I got so much done so far this week and really want to keep that momentum going. Food was better yesterday. Today will be better. Mom is working so I won't be distracted. My meeting with my therapist went well. Alot of catch up about Adam. I felt better but emotionally exhausted after the hour. I keep living day by day here and when I talk about everything that happens in one month ...ugggg it wipes me out. Glee was on last night. The end showed Santana coming out to her grandmother that she is gay. Her grandmother said awful things to her. She was able to be with her friends who completely support her. I told Adam how blessed we are that our family has been so awesome. We talked a bit about when we told the grandparents and how great they were. This show has helped so much this year. No Zumba today. I will work on the house and eat healthy. Have a great day!

I don't really watch Glee, but I did see a scene about a girl being gay and that some guy spread the news, he got slapped.

It must be hard on you with all of the stuff going on.

Hopefully you'll get lots done at home today and behave yourself (eating wise).

Time to Zumba Tuesday

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Happy to be heading out to Zumba soon. It's with my fun positive Zumba ladies. Yay! Food was pretty good yesterday except for a peanut butter nutella sandwich that I have had this bad habit of making myself while prepping for dinner. I don't know what the deal is with this. I did it alot the past couple weeks. I know this is when I usually have a glass of wine. Another bad habit has taken it's place. Any suggestions of a good substitute? I got alot done again yesterday. Score. I have an appt. with my therapist today. Thank God. I have so much to catch her up on. I'm surprised how together I've been so far this holiday season. Considering the year... I've really been lax on holiday decorating and tradition. I was working day to day just getting through so the extra's weren't happening. I thought if I got the tree up and outside stuff done that would probably be it. Surprise! I'm enjoying getting it done and really looking forward to enjoying the season. Hmmm...progress? Good friends of ours that we haven't seen since Adam came out to us stopped in to the dealership yesterday. Joe had told the husband a few weeks ago. He was great. Joe talked to the wife yesterday and she was great and would love to get together soon. She said that her brother is gay and when he came out to their parents their parents disowned him and don't speak to him. He went through a terrible time of drug use and hurting himself. We are so blessed. Thank God we are such a strong amazing family. Thank you again for such great friends!

Well, it sounds like things are really looking up, whoohoo! I'm sure you'll feel much better after talking to your therapist. At least you're working your way up in the habits, a semi healthy sandwich is better than running to pour a drink anytime! Maybe if you had some fruit or portioned veggies to munch on while you make dinner it could help you. If its healthy and portioned it can help you keep from over eating and you can keep a little baggie in the fridge or someplace easy to grab while you are back and forth with prep work. I'm glad that your friends are ok with Adam. You are such a good family, wish you were my family sometimes!

Not sure if you're making a new habit with the nutella. I myself, just don't eat while making supper. If anything, try water with a bit of flavour in it. Like lemon or lime.

You are a very caring parent for staying by your son. It isn't easy coming out like that and then hoping that no one rejects him.

Take care.

Let's go Monday.

Ready to get this house together. Mom is working today so I won't be distracted. Food not so great yesterday. It could have been worse. I'm back today. 4 day bad food weekend but now normal eating until Christmas! No excuses. So I have a difficult phone call to make. My best friend from high school invited me to a Christmas women's gathering at her home. For those who are long time friends remember how her daughter facebooked with Adam in the Spring about him being gay. She is 18 and was getting ready to leave for college. It didn't go well. One of the things she said was God made liars and theives but he doesn't want them to do those things either. When Adam tried to educate her she said she would pray for him....So I haven't seen my friend since then and now the party is Saturday. I know my friend feels as she does. Sadly I don't believe there is anything that will make things better for us right now so I must decline this party. It's so sad but I will pray that things will change for them.

How sad. Dealing with closemindedness can really suck.

I'll be praying for your friend so that she might be able to deal with this better for her own sake as well of you and everyone else she encounters.

You need to make the decision for you, not for the friend. Sorry you are missing it, but in the long run - listen to your feelings first. HUGS.

How sad for you. As time goes by, you will miss her less and less. Maybe she is trying to be a bigger person by inviting you, but by going, it may cause some tension. There is nothing wrong in declining.

People change. Sometimes they don't.

I have left behind two friends in the past year. I just couldn't be there for them anymore, and I really don't miss them.

It's a shame that people can be so judging of others. I always pray for acceptance and people's general kindness

Good morning Sunday.

We had such a nice night last night. Great friends :). It's Josh's best friends family. The wife is super Christian and this year we haven't talked to them about Adam. Josh had told Connor and he was great about everything. Joe was very concerned about how the wife would handle it. I've been wanting to tell her but didn't want to with the whole family together. I've asked her to meet for coffee but she is so busy she never made time. I understood and actually Joe wanted to tell the husband first so that he could reason with her before we all got together again. So while they guys went to get food Joe brought it up. He was great and said his wife was great too. No problems. Joe thinks its all good so I will go with that. I'm not completely convinced but if their kids are good that is half the battle. They can't be teaching hate if the kids aren't showing it. Right? The husband isn't at all like that but the wife.....we will see. She said she'd love for us all to vacation this summer so she must not have to many issues. We will see. I know it did make me realize that I'm going to have to decline an invite I've received from my best friend from high school. I'll further that discussion tomorrow. Food was not great yesterday but I chalk that up to time of the month. I got my dance in though. Plus! Have a great day!

Awesome, sounds like it went great! If she's a true christian, she shouldn't judge. Sounds like you were nervous of being judged. Only God should be doing that. We all know no one is perfect.((((hugs))))

Hi Saturday...

Saturday, November 26, 2011

I brought Adam to swim practice then headed to my hip hop class. Discouraged by how lame a dancer I still am :( . Oh well, one day at a time with that. The boys brought all of the Christmas stuff up from the basement for me. Yay! I'll work on getting the outside stuff done today. The party for my nieces went well last night. Food choices could have been worse...but then I came home and ate the large piece of pecan pie my mother in-law insisted I bring home on Thanksgiving. Ugggg....once again glad I went to my class this morning. I had a bagel this morning. On the top of my temptation list....:( Plain greek yogurt for lunch though. Yum. We are going to our friends house tonight. We haven't gotten together with them in a while. Joe and I went to see Twilight yesterday. It was pretty good actually. The boys went to see Happy Feet with Chris. Adam liked it. So I need to get back to the decorating :). Hope everyone is having a great day!

Way to go on the dancing! I had a couple pieces of sugar pie my mother left for me from Thanksgiving. I googled the nutrition is 669 calories a piece :( so I can relate. Hope you get that decorating done soon.

You're not a lame dancer, you just have your own personal dork style! Good job sharing the exercise with the boys having them bring you the decorations! Shame on your MIL for tempting you with pie, good thing for your classes, right?

And I wish I wer brave enough for hip hop classes! I'll stick with my Xbox dance games so no one has to see my awesome moves.

I love Christmas decorating. I envy you a little.

Sounds like a good night for all.

As for the pecan pie...naughty, naughty! I'm sure that you will burn off those extra calories in no time.

Have a good weekend.
