Yesterday not so good.

Thursday, September 29, 2011

I called the doctor in the morning to find out if its true that going to Marshall's and Target in one day was too much for me....Yes it is. :( It seems crazy but true. Yesterday I sat on the couch almost all day and surprise surprise my foot feels better today. So I will rest...really rest. One day at a time. Food was amazing again. Eggwhites, lowfat cheddar, spinach, pepper and hot sauce for breakfast. Yum. Almonds for snack. Lunch was steamed broccoli, salmon salad with light mayo, lowfat cheddar and balsalmic dressing. 2 oz. of lowfat cheddar with sliced turkey breast for snack. Dinner was baked center cut pork chops, beans and peas. While watching Modern Family with the family... I had a suger free chocolate pudding cup with a dollop of sugar free Cool Whip. Yum. I feel smalller again today. Yay. So that is something. So I will rest today. The kids don't have school today. Yay! They are up in bed sleeping in. Love it! Josh seemed good yesterday so that is good. I will watch him. Joe is working like a dog this week. He has a goal of how many cars he wants out by the end of the year and he is making it happen. I'm so proud of him. So far he is handling this pressure he has put on himself. But I'll keep an eye on him too :). I've got alot of time to do this while I'm sitting on the couch...I will also Spark alot. Have a great day!

It sounds like you'll be putting in some extra use of the eyes in the back of your head to keep track of everything since you can't get around for now! lol.

You just don't know how to sit still huh? emoticon

Sit still, get better, then go.

That's how it's done. Okay?

A good day.

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

Yesterday was another successful food day. Breakfast- eggwhites with lowfat cheddar and spinach, peppered on top. Snack of almonds. Lunch with mom while running errands. We ate at Panera. I had the chicken cobb salad with no cheese and balsalmic dressing. Yum! Snack of yogurt and 2 oz. of lowfat cheese. Dinner was Tuesday taco night :). 93% fat free ground meat with taco seasoning. The kids made their soft tacos with shredded cheese. I put my taco meat over steamed broccoli and lowfat cheddar. Yum. A glass of wine while watching Glee...and there you have it. I woke up today feeling much less bloated in two days of good eating. I drank alot more water yesterday as well. That helps and makes me feel much better. I was out alot of the day and I felt it around 3pm. I came home and rested the rest of the night. I'm trying post surgery tape around my foot and then adding the adhesive tape over it. We will see if that helps with the blisters today. We couldn't get a sub for today so I will have to call Golds and cancel the class today. I hate doing that. But we gotta do what we gotta do. Today is a quiet day. Yay. I'm happy to rest after a busy day yesterday. I may do some housework as the day goes on. Hope everyone has a great day!

feeling better...

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

I got an email from the director who said she is setting up subs until I'm recovered. Yay! I feel better already knowing they will still want me after such a long absence. I was able to tape my foot yesterday and that helped so much. I took the tape off last night to air it out. I hope it doesn't get irritated so I can keep doing that for a while. Food was amazing yesturday. Eggwhites with lowfat cheddar and spinach with some pepper for breakfast. Almonds for snack. Steamed broccoli, chicken and lowfat chedder with balsalmic dressing for lunch. Greek yogurt for snack. Haddock with a tossed salad for dinner. Perfect. :) Day two of healthy eating today. If I work this for a week I will be back. I just have to get the bad stuff out of me for a bit. Remind my body of how good I feel with the healthy stuff in it. I'm working on not eating out so much either. We've been looking at how much we spend on eating out and it is crazy. So that should help too. I did alot of chores in the house yesterday. That was great. I was able to rest alot too because I didn't even leave the house until 4:30. Josh is nursing a broken heart today. I have to keep an eye on him. He holds everything in and momma bear is watching. He falls so hard. I just love him :). Hope everyone has a great day!

As for you, you're poor foot. At least you know that you have a job to go back to that you so enjoy. I'm happy for you.

I've found that cooking at home with healthy food is less expensive and so much fun too. We go to a healthy food store at the beginning of the week to plan meals like what you ate yesterday and even the shopping is fun. Yes, even eating healthier food is less expensive than going out. Thanks for sharing and wishing you a speedy recovery!

Fun fun fun!

Adam had a blast at the homecoming dance. So adorable. No drama...just fun. His friend Tori is such a sweetie. They had the hayride before it which was great. He stayed over at Tori's house and was there until we picked them up for rehersal. Once again we didn't see the wife. Josh stayed over his friends house Saturday night too. I slept in Sunday and we had lunch with Mike. So great to spend time with him. He was surprised Adam stayed over at Tori's. He said to be careful with that. Even though Adam is gay he may want to experement and sleep overs may be trouble. Hmmmm...something I just didn't even consider really. So there is something else to think about. After rehersal I asked where he slept and he said on the trundle in her room. I told him at their ages that is not appropriate. He said Ummmm mom I 'm gay? I understand but still not appropriate. He just smiled at me. :) So confusing. So I e-mailed the director of classes this morning that I won't be able to teach for at least 4 more weeks. Ugggg.....I know my spark friends are very happy I am now committed to recovery but it broke my heart. I'm taping my foot again hoping it doesn't blister. It felt much better yesterday when I taped it. I feel like I'm such a baby about all this. Joe is almost like ....just buck up and get on with it. Thanks to my sparkies I know I'm not just making this up. I slept in again this morning. I'm very concerned about my eating. I'm feeling bloated already. I'm getting back to basics here today. I haven't been drinking enough water. I know that. Sweets have been on my radar much too frequently. I wil get back to strength training that won't effect my foot. I'm not going to add weight gain to my sadness....Thanks for being here.

I'm sorry that it will take so long for your foot to be as ready as you are now, but it is for the best to rest it for now. I know you worry about Adam with sleepovers and all, but I think if you really show some support and make sure you let him know exactly what is expected of him while he is away from home no matter where he is he can rise to the occasion. He's a good kid, be honest and open with you and make it known that he can be open and honest with you as well.

Oh, did the doctor tell you four more weeks? Wow. I'm sorry to hear that.

It's nice to hear that Adam had a great time. Memories are always nice to look back on.

Take care of that foot of yours.

I'm feeling a bit bloated, too...and I am thinking sweets may be my culprit as well. We will figure out what our bodies want and treat them with the love and respect they deserve!

I'm glad Adam had a good time at the dance and the sleepover...yes...so many things to think about with our children, huh?

Sending healing energy your way, get better soon! You'll be teaching in no time!

Homecoming :)

Sunday, September 25, 2011

Adam went to his first homecoming dance last night :). His amazing friend Tori asked him to go with her to her dance. So adorable. He stay at their house last night so I'm looking forward to hearing all about it. Her dad is our friend who is battling lymphoma. He didn't look well last night. I have questions... he and his wife don't have a very loving marriage and things seemed extremely off there last night. Ok...she wasn't even there. She takes pictures when one of the girls cuts off their toe nails....ok not really but.... she wasn't there. When I told him we'd be there to take pictures he had a weird sound to his voice. While we were there she wasn't really even mentioned. Hmmmmm...I will pray. We've known them forever. In each others weddings. There for each others births. I just don't know how this is going to go. I will pray. I hope the kids had a great time. They are both awesome kids. Food was pretty good yesterday. Breakfast was greek yogurt. Almonds for snacks. Lunch was cobb salad with no cheese and balsalmic vinegrette. Lowfat cheddar cheese for snack. salmon steak with side salad and spinach for dinner. I did eat a small piece of cornbread with dinner. I'm not feeling excited about my food lately. I feel so bummed that I"m not burning off any calories with exercise. I'm going to call my podiatrist tomorrow. I may go to a water aerobics class on Monday night. We will see what they say about that. It just seems strange that I'm still so worn out just from walking through the mall. Does that sound right? It will be 2 weeks on Wenesday. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I can't wait to hear how the dance went. Your body is trying to heal itself, that could be why you're so tired sometimes. An injury can take alot out of you. Take it easy and do what the doctor tells you and nothing but! I don't want to hear that you went off and did something else and hurt yourself now, that is what my mom is doing to herself and it isn't pretty!

I've got to ask...What is a homecoming dance and what is the significance? (We don't have those here, let alone proms).

Anyhow, it's sad how things happen in marriages, be glad that you and your husband are going strong. Sorry that your friend is ill.

I find that injuries take lots out of a person. Whether you realize it our not, your body is taking energy just to heal. That's why sleeping is so therapeutic.

Hope that you are do well otherwise and that you have good news from your podiatrist.

Hugs.
