Boy yesturday was tough.

Monday, September 12, 2011

We watched alot of coverage of 9/11. It was necessary but painful. It brought everything back so vividly. For my kids this was brand new and it was awful to see their faces and know what this was doing to their psyche. They need to know. They need to understand but I watched a piece of their innocence gone forever. Terrorists did this. We started the day with a 3 hour special about it. I decided we needed to get out for a while and wash this off. So we met Joe's cousin and her new husband for lunch. That was awesome. They went to Hawaii for their honeymoon and it was so fun to see pix and talk about such an amazing part of our country. It made us so excited for our trip to Kona next month! They are a wonderful couple and the kids have a blast with them. I had a burrito bowl with pulled pork, salsa, lettuce and guacamole. Yum! We ran errands...bought a new camera for our trip, bought Josh some sneakers, I got some cute things for our trip at Gap Body then went to Staples to pick up Adams school supplies. We headed home and the boys did their homework. I was still bummed about the day so we ended up treating ourselves to barbaque by the river. Yum again! It was a gorgeous crisp evening. One that deserves a soft sweatshirt. I had pulled pork again :) Some cucumber and tomatoe vinegrette salad and chopped salad. Yum. We treated ourselves with splitting some extremely decatent desserts and headed home. There was a moving documentary on tv when we got home about the fireman of New York that day. It was so difficult to watch. I'm so glad we did but....Wow! So for once I'm thrilled its Monday and I"m ready to start a new week. I'm going to work on some new choreography for my class and get some cleaning done around here. Enjoy your Monday!

Yes death and dieing are difficult to watch at any time so that would be something difficult for children to take in What age are they. I`m glad you broke it up with something light after.

Lunch sounded divine too! Give me ideas LOL

So sorry, I could only read half your blog. I am not ready to read about more death right now. I do have empathy for your sons. I hope they will not be frighten or anxious by this event. It was truly a tragic story. I actually work there back in 1993 when the first attempt was made. And my brother (who just passed away) was there (mid-town) that day in 2001. It is just too much to think about.

Even here in SA we saw some of the coverage and were shocked and horrified at the pain and senseless destruction of lives it will live in peoples memories a long time emoticon

I don't think 9/11 should get easier - it should be a remembrance for our country.

What an awesome class...!

Sunday, September 11, 2011

I feel awesome! Class was a huge success! People came up to me after class to tell me how great I am! Yay! When I told them this was only my second class they couldn't believe it! :) Thank God! Thank God! I am feeling much better about all of this. I knew there was a reason I pushed myself. I had some yummy chicken parm..minus cheese for dinner. I deserved it after my day. Oh I forgot to mention that I also went to a Zumba event after my class and dance another 90 minutes!!!! I know crazy right? My mentor was hosting it and I felt it necessary to be there. I did it and was shocked at how I could handle it! Yay! Life is good! So I'm ready for more classes! Today is the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. I am watching the news coverage with my 13 year old who was in preschool the day it happened. We are very moved and my heart sinks for thoses who were directly affected by this tragedy. My prayers are for all who have lost someone. Please hug those you love today and lets be thankful for our amazing country and for those heros who've given their lives for us.

My great great nephew was born today, friends celebrated birthdays and anniversaries yesterday because the actual birthday and anniversaries are today. Every day we are reminded, especially in this military area, that things are different. Yet, we are still a country of the free and the brave.

Late blog today!

Saturday, September 10, 2011

I taught my second class today. They loved me! They really loved me! :) I was subbing at a different gym and had no idea what to expect. It went soooo well! Students actually came up to me at the end to tell me how much they loved it! Yay! I feel so much better about everything. Score! Are you ready for this???? I then went to a Zumba event where I dance for another 90 minutes!!! Holy cow! I'm crazy! :) I think I could use some of the choreography for my class. We will see. I came home and took an hour hot shower.....ok not really an hour.... I finally ate something substantial and just sat down to spark. :) Hi! Food has been crazy good so I'm having some yummy chicken parm...minus cheese for dinner. OH Yeah! We will head out to church soon and then having Joe's sisters family for dinner and relaxing time :). Have a great day!

You are living on a high! What a great time you must have had. I think that it would be kind of weird with actually having others following me! You did great.

Ready to blog today.

Friday, September 09, 2011

So life is good. I'm definitely at maintenance and really feel great about that. I need to check out articles now about maintenance. Last time I maintained I did it for 5 months. That was the longest I had been at my ideal weight since I got married. I'm known for my yo yoing. So I will spark. I will do the work and research on how others have kept it off here. It's funny. You think once you get to your ideal everything is perfect. I now have a new worry. Gaining. I will plug along and keep with my consistency. I will keep the right food in the house and order the healthy stuff when I go out to eat. Exercise is easy with my new career :). I'm going to practice my routine this morning. I'm getting nervous about my class tomorrow. I will feel better once I go through it. The boys had a good first day of school. They have left again for the day. I made a home cooked dinner two days in a row! Yay! That is a streak! :) I made boneless center cut pork chops baked in a spiced rub. Yum. Red peppers, aparagus and broccoli. Not bad. I had a salad with ministone soup for lunch. I had a nice conversation with mom during lunch. We needed that. I need to scoop all of the leaves out of the pool today because they are closing it tomorrow. I'll be thrilled with that. Have a great day friends!

I've heard from others that it takes a little bit of experimenting in order to find that right place to be calorie intake wise, to maintain.

You are very lucky to be in something that helped you lose weight. I wish that I had your spunk!

Have a great weekend.

I'll try for a longer blog...

Lets see if I get kicked off... So my class went well. Alot of sweaty women with smiles on their faces. Thats good. This crazy Zumba instructor was in the front row and actually offered to do a song...in the middle of my class!!!! OMG! I was in shock and actually had to explain to her that it wouldn't be appropriate for her to do that. Wow! Joe had a dozen red roses sent to my class :). The card was beautiful. I am blessed. He is amazing. I almost cried :). At least that was a good distraction from the crazy lady. I thought I would have been exhausted the rest of the day but I wasn't! Yay! The boys started school today :(. I hate when they head back. It's such a downer. They seemed ready though. Thats important. I'm going to work on my routine a bit today and learn some new choreography. Food has been amazing considering I've been to nervous to snack much. I usually binge when I'm nervous ....hmmmmm....I'll take it! I will not try to figure it out and just go with it! I had half a cobb salad minus cheese for lunch. Greek yogurt with almonds for breakfast. I made baked teryaki chicken with sauteed red peppers and broccoli with black beans for dinner. A glass of wine with hubby in the evening. Life is good. It is raining like crazy here this week.....Ugggggg... we will close the pool Saturday. So that's good. Have a good day friends!

Oh Yuck. A crazy lady that thinks that they are better than you. I hate people that try to take over things.

I'm glad that you handled that well and that you did some quick thinking. Way to go!

My kids started last week for school. They are pretty much in the groove now.

Have a good day.
