40 Days Later -- The results are in !!!

So I was thinking that taking Wednesday off from the gym was a bad idea, but something told me an ounce of prevention was worth a pound of cure ... so I figured, take a break before I get burned out.

Anyway it was a very good week last week ... and an even BETTER 40 days.

Total calories burned for the week were 10,950 ... seems nuts looking at it now, especially when the goal was *only* 9,000 ?!?!

Weight when I started this insane activity on May 1st ... 215 lbs. Saturday June 9th, weighed in at 192 lbs ... 23 lbs lost in 40 days, in a word 'WOW' !

So, today I enjoyed yet ANOTHER day off from the gym ... and also resisted the urge 3 times to reward all my hard with with a triple scoop of frozen custard. Choosing instead to take an extra long nap today ... oh, much needed rest.

I'm so looking forward to getting back to a NORMAL workout schedule this week ...

    Okay please share your secret for staying focused and motivated? Are you getting in shape for something? When I don't see any results, I get disappointed right away and just lose it ... what do you do? I know you don't see results in the mirror everyday?!?!?

Playing hookey from the gym???

This is a pretty intense workout schedule ... only because I have my "official" weigh-in this Saturday w/ my training partner (last weight was 215lbs on May 1st).

This week, I wanted to try a workout schedule of 2x day cardio sessions ... the problem not being time but ENERGY. Funny ... in order to lose weight faster ... I needed to EAT MORE in order to be able to workout longer, harder and more often? Also, I gotta find the right time of day to workout, i.e. when my energy it highest ... funny, the midnight workout sessions worked pretty good.

It's worked pretty good so far (2x/day), but I WILL take a day off from the cardio ... and that day is TODAY.

Still want to get 9000 calories burned for this week ... by Saturday!!!!

Does anyone actually read blog entries? Talking to myself is bad enough .... but writing to myself? I think I need a wristband for that, no?

    I read them all the time - sometimes when I visit people's pages and sometimes (like today) when I see interesting things in the "recent blog posts" on the BBQ team page.

Writing to ourselves it theraputic! Before computers were affordable for the "regular Joe," I used to keep a journal that I wrote in every day before I went to bed. helps me to see things clearly and get some junk of my chest.

  Yes, yes, yes. Someone is actually reading your Blog now! Don't do this very often, but your photo looked like you are a really positive and happy person. Considering what I feel is a depressing political situation here in the US of A, I think it's good to see a smiling face every once and awhile. Good Luck, and best wishes on achieving your weight loss goals. With that exercise schedule that you plan on doing daily, I'm sure you're going to be successful in no time flat!
