Sailabration Part 2 (photos)

My boyfriend wanted to see the boats at Sailabration so we went last night. Walked around 3.5 miles and had dinner at a new place. It wasn't as crowded as when I went during the day and the weather was very nice. I jogged 3 miles and walked another 3.7 in the morning, so I was a little worried about walking more that night, but I am not sore at all today. Off to a wedding. I'm sure more pictures of that will follow:)

Yesterday I ran 3 miles at the gym!!!! This is an ultimate first. It took 47 minutes, but I am very excited. Slowly but surely I am getting ready for my 5k in July and my half marathon in October. Today my friend and I walked around the harbor for the Sailabration.

Here are some pics. We walked over 3.5 miles. I am looking forward to walking the half marathon route hopefully next week. I heard the hills are brutal.

The blue angels were there too

    Jamielogical, thanks for the tips! I tried doing another 3 miles today at the gym. I successfully did 3 miles in 44 mins (3 mins faster than my previous time). I walked after that for a grand total of 2 hours of running/walking (around 6.7 miles total). I like the idea of continuing but intervals of faster and slower running.

    The first time I did C25k after I finished the 9 weeks, I started working on my speed by increasing it by 0.1 mph every week on the treadmill. If you aren't running on a treadmill that would be hard to do, so what someone suggested was to redo C25k, but instead of walking at all, you run the whole time and just increase your speed during the "run" intervals, then go back to a slower steady pace during the walk intervals. Hope that makes sense?

    Thanks!!! I dont know if i shld keep doing the c25k program or work on continuing running longer distances and improve my time as well as start training more for the half marathon. Thoughts??

    Way to go ,you are doing awesome,good luck with your 5k and half marathon.
I was supposed to do a 5k on Sun.but they changed the date to a date I couldn't do,but still plan to do a 5k.

So i am now signed up for my first 5k in july and my first half marathon in oct (day after my bday). The half marathon looks crazy. Its the baltimore running festival. Registration gor that race closes at 11,000 people!!!! This should be awesome. I had to put an estimated finishing time. If i ran at my current pace it would be around 3 hrs and if i walked at my current pace it would be 5 so i am guessing 4 hrs. We shall see:)

    That's awesome! I saw your message and thought I had left a message (but I think I didn't) - I think you will have a great time at the race! I really like their medal with the crab!

With 10 weeks to train after your 5K - I think you have enough time and with the marathon rookie plan- halfway through I usually sign up for a 10k on my 6 mile long run).

    Lol. Def feel crazy, but i really think i can do it. I really want to start walking and seeing how long it takes me to go 13 miles. Then i want to see how long i can jog for. I know i cab do a mile but i haven't tried farther than that.

    I have 3 pairs of asics from charm city run. One for working out, one for teaching/every day, and one for bartending. How do training programs with a place work??? Ive only seen do it yourself online programs

    I am so thrilled that you will be running the Half with me ... more or less. Make sure you sign up for a training program. I know the Fleet Feet and Charm City Run. Falls Road Running may also have a program, I don't know. I used Fleet Feet to get ready for Maryland Half 2011.

Oh! And get good shoes ate one of those stores ... not Sports Authority or Dick's.

Found a dress!

I have a wedding to go in a week and then 2 weeks after that. I found a dress that I LOVE! It's a size 13 juniors (which they said is about a size 10 in womens. I started as a size 16 women's. Size 14's were getting big). I also got some suade steve madden shoes to go with it. Now I need to practice wearing them so my feet aren't dead next weekend. Woohoo!! I've never felt that good in a dress.

Hips... down 6 inches
Waist.... down 6 inches
Neck.... down 1 inch
Stomach.... down 8 inches
Chest.... down 5 inches
Ribs.... down 3 inches

Total weight loss 38 lbs (from Jan 6th... 36 lb weight loss from Feb 5th)
