I am very excited. Last night I stuck with my calorie ranges. I didn't get to bed until around midnight. My boyfriend wanted to eat dinner at 11, but I wasn't really hungry. He insisted I sit in the kitchen with him while he ate. It was TORTURE! I didn't want to succumb to the food screaming all around me, so I cut up a tomato (like a steak) and put some salt and pepper on it. It held me through and didn't blow my calories. I was proud of myself for pushing through.

Today, I bought a whole bunch of fruits and veggies. I bought myself a measuring cup and knife to cut fruit to stay in my classroom. Below is a picture of my spread. I am so ready to stay on top of this!

Halfway through the day i thought i was going to pass out. I needed meat lol. I stuck to the food i brought. I still have a bunch left that im still snacking on now. Its funny because i was constantly eating, but was almost getting tired of eating. Eating wasn't as fun when it was all fruits and veggies. U dont realize how much 12 celery sticks is lol. I think my crash was because i hadnt had much protein yet so next time im going to eat my yogurt earlier and maybe add some nuts Report Inappropriate Comment

Taking Control

It has been a difficult couple of months. My grandmother passed away a few weeks ago. There was a tragic machinary accident at her job and she was killed. She was 72. I have been coaching wrestling at my school (JV) and grad classes started back up. However, I am tired of being so heavy and tired of not being happy. I feel trapped inside of myself. I am going to start taking control of my food and I am going to try to work out, even if it's just walking for a half hour. Anything would be better than nothing right now. Overall, things have been a little rough for me, but that means that things can only get better. I continue to thank you all for your support:)

I was a little disappointed that my first day of tracking again ended up with me going over my calories... but to stay positive i was successful in not drinking soda, honestly tracking everything, choosing fruit for snacks, and learning that tomato basil mozz salad has more calories than i thought. I am ready to take control again and tired of not feeling like im in the right body Report Inappropriate Comment

hey:) my bf asked if i was going to start blogging again and i realized i havent been on here for a while. school is going well... same with grad classes. i still feel so busy, but im surprisingly really happy. even more surprising is i am 210 (the most ive ever weighed myself as... size 16 jeans, xl shirts). yet again, i am still happy. im not happy with pictures and finding clothes i feel like i look good in is a challenge. i deep down can still feel what it was like to be down to 140 and i want that back. it will happen. its just nice to feel good about life. im having fun on the weekends, im having fun with my bf, im not stressing about girls and comparing myself to others, i am being realistic with my expectations for myself in terms of school prep/grading/etc. it will happen... one day at a time:)

p.s. still only drinking water vs soda, so thats at least one plus

life update

So I guess it's time for a life update. the school year went well. It was sad seeing some of my babies off to prom and to see them graduate. This is the first year that I knew some of the seniors pretty well, so that was cool. I have been bartending and got hired to bartend in Rehoboth beach, DE for the summer. I am renting a one bedroom and will be living at the beach. I joined the gym that is next to my work and. 3 miles from the place I am renting. The only thing I hate is walking too and from the gym. Lol. That seems like extra cruel torture lol. I have been tanning too so I feel like I look a little better. This school year wasn't good for my body and once again I am over 200 lbs. It seems like I have been at this place before over and over and over, but at least I am deciding to stop it where its at. I bought myself a nice ipod touch so ill be more motivated at the gym. I also dusted off my wii and workout dvds to bring to the beach with me. I am excited to get going! My tv at the apartment also only has like 15 channel, which has motivated me to get up and do different things while I've been there. I am cooking myself nice meals and am really hoping it'll be a nice, relaxing summer and what I need to jump start weight loss (again!). Here are some pics of my students and the outside of the restaurant I am bartending at. I will keep everyone updated and am excited about logging in the exercising I did on Sunday:)

Hey everyone! So ive been taking bartender classes and LOVE it! I decided im taking a break from summer school and going to look for a part time bartender position. I passed my final bartending test and get my certification next week. We needed 20 drinks in ten mins and i got 25! I filled out applications to random restaurants/bars on fri and sat got a call back! I went in yesterday for an interview and it went really well! Its at a country club near my house. The place is sooooo nice and the golf course is used in the pga tour! The woman really liked me and said i'd be a good fit. They have a bar by the pool, a bar in the banquet hall, and a restaurant bar that's more fine dining. She said the manager is on vacation but that i will absolutely be hearing back from her and she definitely sees them finding a place for me. She said they are booked for weddings from april to nov! I guess the membership is younger than most country clubs. So wish me luck! I felt good about how i did at the interview and am very excited to give this a try
