It's only been one day, and I'm already kind of weirded out. This is a problem.
Three or four times a day (or more) means you have a problem.
So, it had to be done.
*I had my husband hide my bathroom scale*
It started out so innocent... The program I was working with (elimination type diet) had me doing a daily weigh-in. It kept you on track, kept you informed on what your body reacted weirdly (water retention/swelling) to, kept you "honest".
And eventually IT happened.
Hopping on the scale before dinner - just to see where you stood before eating.
Hopping on the scale before going to bed - just to give me an idea of what the next morning would bring.
Hopping on the scale three or four times in the morning, just to see if it went down a little after going to the bathroom again.
Yes, this has become a problem.
I've been at 'maintenance' for about 6 months and I slowly over the last three months had gone from my standard once a day to ... yeah... too much.
And, I'd gone from using it as a tool to having it use me.
This is a problem.
That stupid little number was no longer 'information'.
It had become how my day was going to go.
It became how I saw myself.
It became a problem.
And, the problem needs to end.

So went in for a DEXA body scan today...
Good news & bad news. *of course*
The good news was that my BMI was at 24.9 - officially "Normal"! LOL And, even better, my bone density kicks butt.
The bad news... my body fat percentage is WAY higher than my measurement calculations show! According to my BIA scale, I'm at 24% - according to the Navy's measurement thingy, I'm at 27%.
The DEXA? It has me at 34%. Bah.
This is considered "obese". Lamesauce.
Ah well, at least it gives me a direction to go, yes? And, considering I started up over 60%, it's still the right direction. And, 130 lbs down is nothing to sneeze at.
Me at (probably) 50% and 35%:
