I feel at times I am not in the best shape that I know I can be. I get caught up in my daily schedule and forget to take care of myself. I am missing out on being fit. So the other day I saw this new gadget that measures steps, calories burned, stairs climbed, and sleep. I clip it on my waist or bra and away I go. At times I will see how many steps I have taken and push to keep moving. When I am at home, I syncs my data to my computer and smart phone and wonderful graphs show my progress. I also log my food intake and weight.

What really sold me on this is the measure of sleep quality. I work the third shift so sleep is different then normal. I wanted to see how well I am sleeping during the day and make changes if need too. For a body that is rested is healthy.

No more missing out on being fit for I am a fitbit customer.

Today was a good day. Slept all day and woke up to visit with husband. I put on my walking shoes, ear phones in my ears and away I went for nice long walk. The walk help ease my mind of the daily stress I am under, so when I was through I felt relaxed. I ended the day with some low fat yogurt ice cream. Good nite everyone!!

I can not choose the day I was born, but I can choose responsibility for discovering why I was born. I was born to show the beauty within me. And when I show what I am made of, I give other people to do the same.

At times I have played it safe never reaching my potential and then never fulfilling my purpose, but now I have step out of my box and have tried new things. Last week I went bicycling with 23 strangers. I carpooled with two ladies I did not know, but had fun getting to know them. I step out of my comfort zone to never really leave my comfort zone. What is your purpose?

Today I started a 90 day program to enhance my life. I realized there are areas in my life that I am not reaching my full potentials. I took a self-assessment test to show me where I need to make those changes and were not surprise at the areas that are weak and strong.

The program is Thirteen Resolution. The definition of resolution is written resolves that are studied daily to help guide a person's behavior while forming his fundamental character. Etch week I will focus one resolution and they are, PURPOSE, CHARACTER, ATTITUDE, VISION, PLAN AND DO, SCOREBOARD, FRIENDSHIP, FINANCE, LEADERSHIP, CONFLICT RESOLUTION, SYSTEM, ADVERSITY QUOTIENT, and LEGACY.

My opportunity is knocking and I will not fear it for I want to claim my density. A density that is vision accomplished and full. I do not want to be something but someone who is living on borrow time.

Today after three weeks of taking a break from bicycle, I rode 13 miles. I took a break for two reasons, 1. temps to warm, 2. not feeling well. I noticed in the beginning of July I was struggling on short rides. I can normally do 21 with no problems, but 21 was like doing 100. I finally went to the Dr. and found I had infection. I took a break from bicycling and rested my body. The rest paid off and I feel like my old self.

I missed my two wheel friend. We will start back getting to know each other slowly. For I am not afraid of going slowly but what I am afraid of is sitting still.

    Great that you are riding bike again. Any exercise that strengthens the body is good and I personally love the bike for strengthening thigh and calf muscles. emoticon
