Rain dancing

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

For the past 2 months it has not rain. Today while at the fair the heavens open up. Instead of taking covered people young and old went dancing together in the rain. How wonderful that a storm can bring people together no matter religion, politics, race; had one goal in mind and that was to celebrate the watering of the earth.

You are so lucky! We are in St. Louis, MO and it is so dry. My husband and I are visiting here and we went out tonight to buy carrots and lettuce for the hungry rabbits running around looking for something to eat. Praying for rain to end this drought.

Health

Sunday, July 15, 2012

Today is another day of working out and eating right. I feel strong and happy, but is this all to life? While it is important to keep my body healthy, what about the soul? Am I all I can be? or am I lacking in areas of improvement. The soul is the heart of the body, if my soul weak so is my body.

Keeping in shape is great, but soul-building requires much more discipline than body building. I choose the trainer of my spirit as well.

I am reminded of this wonderful text from the bible that states this, "Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

I choose each day to let my trainer trained my soul so that my body will become stronger. emoticon

Friday the 13th

Friday, July 13, 2012

Today I went for a 21 mile bike ride. I almost got hit 4 times. I take this route often with no problems. It was not until I was home that I realized it was Friday the 13th. Could there be something to this or was it just a coincident. Lets look at the number 13th. At the Last Supper there was 13 but one died. Some considered 13 an incomplete number or a bad omen. Why is there not a 13th floor in any of the buildings?

Fridays is considered not a strong day for starting projects, goals and making important decisions. Friday is a day where one looks at the work clock more then all the other days. Ones mind is tired and not focus at work. Now put a weak day with an incomplete number together and it could spell disaster. Wall Street fell on Friday the 13th.

Should I have not gotten out bed today? No, everyday is a chance for something to go wrong. I had a good bike ride, I feel happy, burned lots of calories and going to live long to see more Friday the 13th.

Survived the 13th, but the 14th didn't treat me well at all. Think it might be time for a new superstition?

Humor

So last week I went horse back riding. Now I have not been on a horse for awhile, so when the horse took off I grabbed the horse's mane. The speed was too much and my hands slip off. I was falling and my foot got caught in the stir ups. I cried out to Jesus to save me. Jesus save me alright. He sent Bill the Wa-Mart greeter to unplug the horse. Take the time today to laugh at life. emoticon

New Year

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Today my Grandson turned 4. His 4 years of life has been an awesome blessing for me. His life has shown me to stop and smell the roses, bring my child out to play, not afraid to try new things and always learn. Happy Birthday Aiden!!!! This Grandma can not wait for you to learn to Scuba dive, ride roller coaster, and run 5ks with me.
