Today I hop on the scale and to my surprise I loss 2 pounds. To some that may not be an achievement but for me this is huge. Last week I could not get my heart rate up due to very warm temps, but I cut way back on calories. So here to the two pounds gone and hope to lose more.

Hot Journey

Monday, July 02, 2012

Yesterday I bicycle 50 miles. I did those miles with three things against me. 1. Work all night.
2. Had not been bicycling for awhile. 3. Bicycle in 90 temps, which I do not bicycle well in. The first 25 miles were easy. I felt strong and adopted to the warm temps. I rested for 30 minutes after the first 25. The last 14 miles were my hardest. I could not get enough water and I was mentally and physically tired. I could have call someone but I wanted to push myself beyond my limits. I made it home very tired and warm, but proud of myself. I had done something that I had not done before and because of that I am a different person.

A big bang

Today my city puts on the biggest fireworks show of the year. They use music to correspond with the fireworks and just before the the show, F16 fire fighters fly over low. Over 100,000 people come from all over to wittiness this magnificent display. I am truly bless to live in a great country. Free to make choices for me, my faith and my family. I praise the power that has made and preserved us a nation, "In God is my trust" Happy Fourth of July emoticon

Last week I took vacation from work, housekeeping, diet and scheduled exercising. What I learn from my time off was balance. I was more open to the possibility's that came my way. Like sitting down with someone and listening, knitting a prayer shawl for Hospice patients, helping three stranded kids find their parents, witness twin fawns with mother, hearing the rain beating on the cabin roof, snorkling in fresh water, and watching Grandson experiencing his first duck ride. It is the time offs that help me become mentally, physically, and spiritual stronger and helps me balance my life.

Sounds like a nice time to reflect what is really important, now the Q is can you get back on track? If you can take a break and get back to your plan of action, That is a wonderful brk to have.

June 15 2012

Come out from under the covers. God has chase away the dream monsters from the closet of your life.

The Lord is my light and salvation: whom shall I fear? The Lord is my strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
