Back on the saddle

Monday, July 29, 2013

Four weeks ago I was thrown off my bike and fracture my ribs. It hurt to breath, cough, sneeze and move side to side. Because of respiration difficulties I developed walking pneumonia. After four weeks I am finally feeling better. Today I got back on the saddle and had a good ride.

Circle of Life

Sunday, April 14, 2013

The world is round and the place can be the end but also be the beginning.
~Ivy Baker Priest

On Friday April 12, I welcomed my friend's son new baby into the world. Ten fingers, ten toes, perfect little head and a face that melts the ice of winter from my heart. A little miracle ready to start life journey. Welcome Tucker!!

On Saturday April 13 my husband's Uncle life journey ended. A miracle 80 years ago and lived life as if each day was his last. I will miss his humor, his love and I will take from his life in how I can be a better person. RIP Bill

Today the temps were in the 50s and I decided to hop on my bike. I decided to do a 21 mile bike ride. It has been awhile since I had done a long ride and I was not sure if I was going to finish. The ride started out strong and continued until I had completed the ride. I was surprise how strong I felt when I climbed some large hills on the route. I think by xc skiing and snowshoeing all Winter I kept my body strong.

Looking forward tomorrow for I am going wall climbing. Well my body is shutting down and I am going to bed.
Good nite everyone!

Good for you! What a good example you are. (And that was a good reminder that I need to get my bike fixed and start using it!)

Mud Bonding

Friday, March 22, 2013

Today the temps were in the 30s and sunny. I decided to go for a bike ride and rode 13 miles. It felt good to ride outside instead of indoors. When I got home I was covered with mud, but I rather be covered with mud instead of fat. emoticon

Exactly! Mud can wash off in a minute, whereas fat...not so much.
I bet it felt good to get outside : )

This has been some crazy weather! We have had record breaking temps even here in Fl-20 degrees above normal! I like that though! I heard tonight on Weather Channel how bad of snow Wisconsin was getting! Be safe out there! Hopefully you will have another warm spell!
Thanks for stopping by my blog about my vacation! emoticon

O yuk! I feel bad for you. We lived in Iowa. We bought a house in N.C. for the winters. This is the first winter I've not seen snow and cold. It has been the best January of my life. Stay warm and cozy.
