"My God stands by me, all my trust is in Him.
I find my refuge in Him, and I am truly free." (Liturgy of the Hours)
This verse from the Liturgy really resonated in me when I read it.... how wonderful to realize how faithful our God is, how much He loves us, to know that He is always there for us! We really can trust Him at all times, and no one or anything has the power to take away our peace, or to enslave us. We need only place our trust in Him!
Hi, everyone. I'm still here.... even if just barely! LOL!!!
I am tired, and will be be very happy when this week is over, even though I will have registration again on the 12-13th, for those students who have been in summer school (make-up classes), and again two days in late January. I continue to do this (interview each family) because I really believe that many students and parents come closer to the Lord through the interviews. When the family is not attending church, or the students have not yet been baptized, regardless of which religion they belong to, I try to help them understand why it is so important to be faithful to the Lord, and to be baptized. All the tiredness becomes worthwhile when families come in and tell me that they now attend church every Sunday, and students have been baptized during this year, and received other sacraments.
I will be happy, though, when I have time again to exercise, be on SP a little more, catch up on email, etc. And then maybe I can start to take off some weight before Christmas! I sure hope so!!! After almost three weeks off not exercising, I'm going to have to start slow and work up again!
I was mad at myself - this morning I realized that I forgot to log in to SP yesterday, so I broke my streak again!
Thanks to all of you faithful friends who have continued to support and encourage me even when I haven't been able to be around much!
Blessings and happiness to each of you!

"All those who welcome the Word as the guest of their hearts will have abiding joy." (Liturgy of the Hours).
I really loved this message this morning... how true that when we welcome Jesus into our hearts, and ask Him to abide with us, we do experience deep joy - regardless of the tumult around us!
Once more, just a quick hello!
Today was another busy day - I had supper (ate too much!!), and read for a while (finished the book I was reading!) Checked my email, but no news yet on Ron's biopsy. Now I need to get to bed.
Hugs to all!

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! ... The Lord is near." (Phil.4:4-5)
Today, the first day of Advent, our time of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus, is a good time to think about how we will prepare. It's so easy to get caught up in all the material preparation for Christmas - cleaning, cooking, decorating, buying gifts, etc. , that we forget about or neglect our interior preparation.
It's a good time to make a plan - what we can do individually and with our family to prepare spiritually for the coming of our King.
Hi, my friends! I do hope all of you are well! I miss being in touch, but these past weeks have been hard for me. I've had to be in school all day, and physically and emotionally, it's taking its toll. We still have registration this coming week, and I'll be interviewing families. But after this week, things will be much calmer. I'll be working a few hours a day for a week, then vacation!! Am I ever looking forward to that!!
Yesterday was Mariela's (one of the twins, my godchild) Baby Shower. It was very nice! We all enjoyed it. Her baby, a boy, is due in January. This is her first baby.
Thanks for your continued prayers for Ron. We are hoping and praying that this lump on his neck will not be anything serious - or will just disappear!! He has been through so much. I am so grateful to God that Ginger has found new strength in Him!
Have a wonderful week everyone! if I can, I'll be around, and if not, know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Blessings and hugs! Marge

"The whole people fell prostrate in adoration and then praised Heaven who had granted them success." (1 Maccabees 4:55)
"Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the splendour, length of days and glory, everything in heaven and on earth is Yours. Yours is the sovereignty, Yahweh; You are exalted, supreme over all." (1 Chronicles 29:11)
Our God is worthy of all praise and adoration!! Let's ask the Holy Spirit today to teach us to truly adore our God, to praise and worship Him from our hearts!
The graduation and dinner were very nice! Not too much food at all - actually a pretty healthy meal - a lettuce and tomato salad, a small piece of meat with mushrooms and a baked potato. Desert was a very small piece of strawberry cheesecake.
Please continue to pray for Ron... he still has fluid around his lungs.... but is slowly improving.
And please pray for Toņa, one of the cleaning ladies in school . she has diabetes, and is presently is the hospital because of a sore on her foot that won't heal. Yesterday the doctors said they may have to amputate her big toe. She is 75 years old, very active, and right now is very worried, scared and depressed.
Again, I'm only stealing a few minutes to say good morning! I have so much to get done today in school to be ready for Registration on Monday. We will be two weeks registering students for the new school year that starts on Feb. 1st. We interview every family, both new and returning students. My job is to talk to them about their spiritual life and encourage them to be faithful going to whatever Church they belong to, (we accept students from any Church, as long as they are Christian), and to take steps to grow spiritually. Then the vice-principal interviews them to talk about the academic and disciplinary aspects.
Today I am putting information in the computer, and getting everything ready.
Have a great day and may our Lord fill you with the blessings you most need today!
