Ok so day 1 wasn't just the day I signed up on spark, but I did do a few things. I was going to have my "cobbler" around 3pm but when I realized how many calories I'd chalked up already I decided to skip it. To clarify, my 'cobbler' consists of oats, frozen berries, and sugar, so it's not actually bad, but my problem isn't eating bad foods it's overeating in general. At 3pm I honestly wasn't hungry, I just wanted to eat something cause that's what I do. Writing things down changes EVERYTHING, when you actually look at what you're consuming in a day it gives you a serious reality check.
So, I figured if I was going to do this I may as well attempt to do it right. Looking at my goals motivated me to at least jump on the spin bike for 15 minutes. It was only 15 minutes, but my mom always said that 15 was better than nothing, and I think it gave me a jump start for day 2.
It's day 2, so this morning I woke up at 6am, packed my backback, walked downstairs and jumped on my bike. Real bike not the spinner. And then I rode my bike to work this morning! Yea ME! It's actually only a 2 mile ride, but it's something, and better something than nothing. I'll eventually work my way up to full on workouts. In the mean time, I'll continue to stay active. I've got a softball game on Saturday and Volleyball on Sunday. Will blog about those later.
Side note: Sunday after church my Sunday School Class is going to lunch at a Cuban restaurant we've never tried before. Here's hoping I order wisely!
