Disruptions -- again.

It's always something.

In June, DD needed chauffering to computer class -- an hour away. It was an excellent class; she got a lot out of it.

But it meant that 1 drove her out in the morning and back in the afternoon. Every weekday for 2 weeks. Adding 4 hours to my daily chores. On the days I stayed in town, the class added 8 hours to my routine.

I didn't exercise much during June.

Now it's July. We have been planning a bathroom renovation for this month. And we tend to work ourselves to exhaustion. For example, Saturday, we first did some household work:
* breakfast
* lay out soaker hoses. turn on.
* try to fix broken laundry door.

Then, we went to town (an hour away):

* Select special gift wrap for an upcoming wedding
* Pick up DH's resized wedding band
* Walmart
* Lunch
* Check out hardware in Habitat Resale store.
* Gas up the truck.
* Big Box hardware store to buy a bathtub. Load tub on trailer. Park truck and trailer, and go back inside. Buy lights, towel bars, etc. for bathroom remodel.
* ANOTHER Big Box hardware store. Discuss measurements and features. Pick out colors and place order for countertops and tub surround. Buy faucet and misc hardware.
* Sam's Club. Grab a piece of pizza. Shop for kitcheware, electronics, and food.

Arrive home 9:30 p.m.

Chili has been simmering in the crockpot. Start it cooling. Unpack perishables. Have a bowl of chili, and collapse.

My 16-yr-old has a bug -- fever comes and goes; appetite comes and goes; sleep comes and goes. Today, she seems to be at the "demanding convalescent" stage.

Since she doesn't need me every minute, I COULD go to aerobics class.

But ... I'm battling a headache. The kind of echo-ing headache that isn't going away after 2 Advil.

Is it because of sleep deprivation? Or is it the start of an illness?

Missing one aerobics class won't derail me. But getting sick would set me back.

So, I'm skipping aerobics class.

I normally wake up early. And I did today.

But I'm heading back to sleep -- Kid had a fever in the night; I was up dosing and watching TV with her.

I am surprised how many people say they're EMBARRASSED to be seen in public when they're overweight.

Oh, I'm overweight all right. And I'm working on correcting that.

But I'm not embarrassed to appear in public. I mean, I've showered. I've brushed my teeth. I'm not revealing too much skin.

What's to be embarrassed over a little extra weight?

I thought I had it down pat:

eat at the table.
enter foods into Spark.
drink 8 cups of water a day.

Doing that, I lost 10 pounds in about 3 months.

Then came fall. Warm soups, cheesy casseroles, chocolate desserts.

I lost focus, and stopped my 3 small habits.

And I gained the whole 10 pounds back.

So, time for hyperfocus.

I joined the Y. I've been entering my meals into Spark. And I'm trying to get back to 8 cups of water a day.
