I found out a couple a weeks ago I have a prolapse vagina. I am going in for a procedure on Thursday to have in i.u.d. put in to lift it up. I can do everything normal once it's done, with the exception of squats or anything that makes me bare down while standing. I guess that means my weights are out. Sure do hope I can continue to lose weight it's been hard for me it took me an entire year to lose 14 pounds, but I have lost 4 this year so far. It seems to take me a month to lose 2 pounds. I am having a hard time keeping my diet right due to the price of food. Seems like when I should be eating baked chicken I am down to beans and potatoes. I'm not complaining I like beans and potatoes. My biggest problem is getting enough protein. I bought a protein powder to help me with that and a fiber drink to help also. Had to have the fiber. My doctor told me I have to keep a lose bowel for the rest of my life. Anyway ladies if you've had kids or have lost your uterus be careful with the squats.

Today I got up and 4 and started working out at 5 in the morning. I found I feel better during the day if I get this done early. The 30 minutes on the bike is easier than the 30 minute walk for me. My hips don't hurt on the bike, where as walking makes my hips ache. I have found my hips bother me all day when I do the walk. I was advised to swing my legs and it would help. It does help, it just doesn't relieve it during the workout, but afterwards it seems to help my hips not to ache. Maybe I can get used to this. I just want to be able to look in the mirror and start seeing a differance in my body.

sometimes it's hard to get the right food to eat. Especially when this economy is so tight. We hope to move but right now we live in a town on a mountain where our food prices are doubled, and a lot of things are impossible to get. When we get moved we should be able to get the food I need to help my diet and for half the price. There are two of us and right now it cost us about $500.00 a month to eat.

    I know what you mean about the food budget. Ours is big. I wish you the best on cutting yours, especially when you move.

    I understand what you say. I live in a mountainous area where food cost are high. You can make ANY food fit into your HEALTHY eating plan. You can make the occasional trip to the bigger stores and buy frozen fruits and veggies. You can buy in bulk when you go to the larger areas once a month or so. My son and I shop about an hour to 90 minutes away once a month. We get frozen foods (always have a cooler in the car to keep food cold on trip home), We get some fish, lots of veggies, and lots of fruits. Canned fruits and veggies are not ideal but can also add to your meals. I KNOW it is hard but you can make it happen if you PLAN in advance and shop carefully,

When do you expect to move? Good luck making the best of what you have to choose from until then.

    A food budget like yours would absolutely kill my ability to make it without MAJOR changes. We have some, but no many, discretionary categories to attack.

We live in the PHX area and we eat well on less than $300/month for the two of us.

I have really been working out. Today I feel like a whipped puppy. My crack is sore from riding the bike 40 minutes. I thought since I'd gotten used to the thirty minutes anoter 10 wouldn't matter. I was wrong. My hip is sore from walking to much. I think I'd better take it easy today and get back into the grove tomorrow.

    So sorry to here that you are so stiff. Try just doing some stretches today that usually helps. I did a 4 mile walk yesterday and my hips know it today so I did some stretches and it helped so I could do a walk this morning. Great job on the 40 minute workout yesterday. emoticon

getting the calories burned

I didn't realize until day that we only lose weight when we burn off enough calories, and you burn them with the cardio. Maybe I will do better now. I for some reason thought we burned calories when we did weight training. Boy am I ever leaning.
