It's Unbelievable!

I've taken a few days off my usual routine in the hope of figuring out what's going on with me. My head feels a bit wobbly and I can't seem to shake the feeling but you know I just can't seem to get some sleep in.
Before I started this journey I used to head for my bed and sleep without the least bit of provocation not anymore my body seems to be in 'hyper drive' if there is such a term, sleep no longer comes easy in the day unless I'm in front of the television and trying to watch a movie then I go to sleep instantly my interest in the tube has spiralled downward for which I'm glad. I have to head to the bookstore and get me some interesting books, haven't read one in a long time.

Whenever I make changes in my life, my sleep is affected. I hope by now you are able to get the rest you need to continue to make the changes you desire. I love the fact that I don't watch TV anymore. I feel like I'm more alive now. Keep up the good work!

Hope you feel better soon. I used to suffer from really bad heads aches... so I understand. Yes there is nothing like a really good novel to read in the summer. Drink plenty of filtered water eat healthy mainly fruits and veggies and rest. Have a great summer.

Reading and Sparking are my hobbies these days. . .I only wish I was creative like you as that would be fun and save money! I also used to nap almost every day before I found SP but now it's only rarely that I need that nap as I believe I actually am more interested in Life and have more energy. I love to read. My DH gave me an e-reader last year and I use it often. I pull it out when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep. I adjust the e-reader to night reading so the light won't disturb DH.
Check your blood pressure to make sure that's ok. Sometimes when mine is slightly elevated I experience a funny feeling in my neck and head.

What types of books are your favorites? I love to read and have quite an assortment. Probably my first choice is a good historical fiction. I'm currently reading a series set during the time of Christ. It has really been a blessing!

Let me know and I would be happy to make a variety of suggestions for books.

I have a hard time watching television and I love reading too. I read myself to sleep every night. I am also trying to motivate myself to do some paper work this weekend, but so far I haven't started. I would rather be on SP! Happy Saturday!!!

I like the idea of going out and getting some new books! I love reading, but it's actually both reading AND watching television that prompt my nodding off! Things are going well for me this weekend...my husband is on a weekend trip with friends, so it's been very quiet and relaxing around here!

Missing in Action?

I'll be taking it easy for the rest of this week as far as counting my steps is concerned. I have this funny heady feeling and I can't seem to shake it. I don't know quite how to explain it and I'm trying to change around some of my activities including the amount of calories that I'm consuming to try and figure out where the source of this ill feeling is coming from. I'm taking my vitamins and minerals just in case you guys ask .
So for the next few days I'll be still logging my steps but I won't be pushing myself as hard as I've done for the last three weeks, hopefully by Monday I'll be back on the ball.

Hi! I hope and pray that you are feeling better now. I agree with everyone about drinking alot of water. You might be dehydrated. At our age (I'm 56) we have to be careful of that. LOL!

Yes, definitely listen to your body. It is one of the best voices we have.

Eighteen Thousand and Counting!

That's the amount of steps I've taken for the day so far. Actually I'm over 18,000 but I don't think I'll count anymore for the rest of the day I usually take my pedometer off at a reasonable time so that I will make up for any miss-steps that it may have recorded during the day, that just something I've decided on my own to be fair to myself and others.
Anyone wanting to join a terrific team and get encouragement to count your steps using a pedometer join the '10k Steps a Day Team', beautiful people who will encourage you every step of the way. 'Journey to a New You' team also have a step challenge on going and the folks here are also great company we are having a wonderful time so come on, join the fun and get healthy all at the same time.

Today my best friend at work got all dressed up and went for a walk with the rest of the team during our lunch break. After one year she has now decided to join us even though I didn't walk today she followed and completed the course which made me quite happy indeed.
I have pics of my team which I will be posting as soon as my daughter finds the time to help me.
How is life treating you guys?

you have inspired her,awesome job.Look forward to seeing the photos,our daughter helps me with computer stuff too! I ask her to show me and I do it with her guidance.These younger adults have worked with puters since they were young,it comes naturally for them to know what to do on the puter.Life is treating me just fine,thank you for asking!

It's Been One Year!

This has been a good year for me. I'm feeling much better than I was a year ago. I'm more energized, I no longer suffer from Sleep Apnea, I don't have any pains in my feet, I'm 38lbs lighter and even though I didn't reach my goal weight I'm so very motivated to continue on my journey.
This site is marvelous and you my friends and my co-sparkers have been great to me. I love you all and I do wish everyone the best of results as we continue to spark.
