Yet another "study" has been in the news all day; coffee drinkers live longer. It's been over three months (today is day 106 in fact) that I detoxed from caffeine. It was a hard fought battle and I thought I was ready to throw away the old coffeemaker and little supply of coffee that remains on my shelves.
However, I have been jonesing big-time. Not because I love it. Not because I want it. But because of a book I read last week that I'll be blogging about soon. It's called "6 weeks to OMG," in which the author gives tips for a jumpstart to weight loss. And coffee is one of the tips for speeding up metabolism. I've been wanting to speed up this process. Tired of working hard at it. (yes, I know I'm being a silly rebel)
But I had to remind myself of how even a little bit of coffee makes me feel yucky. I got on some medical websites that listed the pros and cons of caffeine and reminded myself that I have a couple of factors that don't do well with coffee. So, it's been on the brain and what also kicked in is the thinking that everyone else in the world is enjoying it except me. (yes, just like a five year old)
