Well, being out of the ordinary pattern, it's almost like I can't figure out what day it is.. The stres was getting to me today, and I needed to get out by myself and that's what I did. I had my bubble bath this a.m. but then dd didn't want to cut my hair. I asked if she wanted me to make a pot of turkey soup and she didn't sound impressed, only commented not to use is all... which there are about 4 dishes full of turkey in the fridge and no one is using it.... so I chose not to make it. Anyway, I went out alone and walked around the mall and didn't spend too much, no where near the deals I found yesterday. But, I did come home with a lobster for my supper. Gd. is starting to branch out and realizing she likes more than just the little legs...
Even TV here is very different from what we normally watch (and as sil says, his house - his rules) we're watching baking cake challenges (3 ft. tall cake with pyrotechnics) and hair salon challenges.... I should go have some "Me Time" and escape into a book for awhile.. I booked an appt. for my blood work on Thursday a.m. and hopefully I can get a massage or foot reflexology session for Thurs. or Fri. too. The deal of the day yesterday was $39 for 60 min. massage and reflexology, so I bought 4 pkgs.. hope it goes well!
Oh, and today is the 1 yr. Sparkversary for me... since I didn't have a scale for a few days after I started last year, it will be a couple days before I get home to see if I can at least be starting this year "lower" than last year.

HaHA, did I fool anyone? guess since all I do is go to school, I have even got myself convinced that doing school work is "Me Time" -. I showed gkids how to play " Sorry" correctly unlike what their grandfather taught them last nite. I didn;'t even tell them one big mistake they're making, save that for another time... the tears were already. Now they're all playing their new Kinnect game and figuring it out.. poor little dog, got yelled at for getting in the wayso she's here with me. So I exited and went for a nice long bubble bath. Time to go for that nice walk. Dh is still sick (flu, I guess - making him crabby, but he sleeps a lot). Maybe me and the little dog should go for a nice walk. talk later....
(well, actually I am planning on taking my book to Staples to get some more copies made so I can make some more puppets, I didn't realize I would finish up the ones I have so fast!)
i am such a bargain hunter.. it was so fun, I got myself some new jasmin candle and bath bombs, gonna go try one now! We also got to use $30 free for our groceries at the Super Store, and then I got a $10 coupon because I spent over $50 at Shoppers Drug Mart and the receipt said I also saved over $92!!!! I actually bought myself a keyboard, I always said I was going to learn to plan the piano when I retired, why wit till then, it was only $17! Andwhen I got home it was after 9pm, even though we left around 2:30 - after I took Lucy for q quick walk around. Oh yeah, I also got new diabetic strips and a new meter with a water bottle, little knapsack (which g.son claimed for 0here, but I got a new pedometer too for Free!! wel, off to the bath... only sale I didn't get was on my paper copying... they wanted 17 cents per page...

I can't believer that I actually woke before the g.kids did, but I stayed in bed and waited for them to get up and g.d. came down about 9:00 complaining cuz she couldn't find a gift from Santa wrapped up.
Anyway, shortly after everyone got up and then the made unwrapping began.. pictures of everything but for some reason I never get to see the pictures, haven't other years either come to think of it. Then dd had put a breakfast casserole in the oven, so it was ready when the gifts were open... good idea...
Dh was up for the gift opening, then he went back to bed... and spent most of their day there till supper. SIL took kids out tobagganing for almost 2 hrs. DD went for a nap and me and the dog were here alone.... I cooked turkey and instead of the usual mashed potatoes and carrots and turnips, I roasted potatoe chunks and heated up baby carrots, cauliflower, can corn and can green beans... I even brought some cranberry jelly from home cuz no one here likes it. I had picked up some mini raspberry tarts and key lime tarts yesterday so that was desert...
Most of the day while it was quiet I was busy coloring and cutting out Animated Literacy characters and making puppets for when I go back to school. I got 15 paper bag and soda straw puppets made, but I only have 3 more copied, little did I know I would get that many done so quickly.
Well, sil cleaned up after supper so I was finished then. I had to complain to borrow a computer, nerves are getting stretched already, but they're going out for a drive. I took the dog and went for a walk earlier... it's the city, the sidewalks were plowed and so were the walkways... amazing! Tomorrow, I should wear my ski pants and toque and go earlier... I don;t know if the doggie froze her paws, she kept up her quick pace. I remember when I had my old dog, she would start lifting her paws and shaking them and I would have to carry her when she got cold! Lucy had her "winter sweater" on, but no boots.... I also crocheted on the first blanket for new baby for awhile too. Only thing I didn't do is read a book.. maybe I should go do that for a while - "Me time". I had my lavender bubble bath last nite, must do that after a while too...
Well, off to do some more sparking... kids are opening their board games now... 3D Monopoly... We were even watching this show on TV where they were making cakes and one was for the 75th Anniversary of Monopoly. I don't think I hve ever played "Sorry", that's what they're trying now...
What's everyone else doing? Hope you're all eating well and healthy.. good idea Pat, re=gifting they call that now, eh?

well I had to take a sleeping pill at 3am but then I got to sleep till 9:30 and we got up and cleaned up, pack, ate and left for the city. When we got to Lac La Biche - an hour and a half away, we stopped for Subway for lunch and did a quick little shop and got some Christmas linens on sale before the stores closed. Then we gassed up and continued on our way. It got very windy, but the roads were clear and blowing snow just crossed the roads but not above bumper level, so it was good. Some slippery patches for good for all, and didn't see any livestock just carcasses the crows were eating.
We got to dd's and unpacked car and they had tacos for supper and then we went to the drug store and picked up a few odds and ends and then I packed -gd was helping, so while she ran the gifts upstairs to put under the tree, I had to get the next one wrapped, so it was still a surprise... gotta be quick...
The tradition is to open a gift tonite, so we all did... dd got us an electric deep dish fry pan. Haven't had one in a long time, so that was a nice treat...Lucky we arrived and asked about the turkey cuz they had forgotten to take it out.. so I'd say turkey is at supper time tomorrow... DD put together one of those breakfast casseroles for the morning after we open gift.. nice idea...
Dh is covered from his head to his toes all covered up in bed, he's still pretty sick, made the trip though> I think I should go find another blanket and sleep on couch and see if I can avoid geting this flu.... So Merry Christmas all..... Hope Santa's good to each and every one.
