EAsy Sunday

Monday, August 06, 2012

Worked today and we went to the gym (as part of my day!) and I did elliptical, cycle and rowing machine and I also sat around hot tub and swam 20 laps....

BF - scrambled eggbeaters, oatmeal, fruit puree
Lunch - cherries, cabbage rolls, strawberries
Supper - homemade soup, little bit of pork tenderloin, strawberries
SNack, - ziploc of veggies, last of scrambled eggs from a.m..

I cooked up pork tenderloin with stir fry mix, but I decided to have a second bowl of homemade soup and save the pork for tomorrow's lunch or supper.. eating my veggies, and sparking....

After supper, we sat out on the swing in back yard and enjoyed peacefulness

Stormy Saturday

Sunday, August 05, 2012

HAd alarm set for 8:30 since they were turning off the water at 9am and I wanted to shower before I went to work. We went to the FArmer's Market, but not much else... All of us ladisd worked together to make a homemade soup.. I used to always get stressed over finding something with me for lunch, but being on a plan, that's not a problem. I also found cabbage rolls in my freezer so there were enough for lunch today and tomorrow.....I made 'em, so you know they're great!! Even though I just had cabbage roll casserole last week, these tasted even better.....

The storm, lighting and the longest thunder rolls I ever heard, one made me jump out of my chair... The lightning is all over the sky, and even at one point one side of the sky was black and the other - almost cut down the middle - was like a light bulb was lit up there...

Anyway, made it home in the heavy rain, but it stopped long enough for me to get into the house when I got home... I have a CD book going in the car, so that is very nice, a Jude Devereuz book, called Lavender Morning, very good

Well, just kicked g.s. and his buddy off my carpet so I can do my workout with Leslie so better go do it.

The dance last night was very interesting.. The music was more to be listened to than danced to for me, but lots and lots of people were dancing. It was very interesting to see and hear and hear about the 30 something's hitting on my 68 y.o. friend.. Whew!!!
(the times have sure changed....)

Friday (where's my book of adjectives) to describe it?

Friday, August 03, 2012

Well, I made oatmeal for breakfast with applesauce.
Lunch - ziploc of veggies, 1/2 can salmon, apricots
Snack - cucumber, chicken

After breakfast, I watched 2 Coronation Streets while I did WATP's 4 mile super challenge... and since the show wasn't over and I was still "in the mood", I did some swiss ball stuff too.

Showered and laid around feeling depressed, taken advantage of, and generally miserable. To do with dd, finances, and and lack of respect... I really need to stand up for myself and speak my mind.

Well, my friend called and invited me to go dancing and to come for supper, so I'm off, this should really cheer me up. Gotta work the weekend...

Hey, a little down is ok..just don't stay there. Yes, you have the right to stand up for yourself. I know that it is hard but it is possible...Baby steps baby steps... emoticon

Hey, the exercise is awesome!! The attitude about exercise is there -- right where you need to be to have great success. The food choices look very good. Thinking through things and deciding to be more assertive may prove very valuable. I can identify with some of the feelings of being taken advantage of and being underappreciated by family members. Hope you find just the right way to address it to achieve more respect. I'm sure you deserve it!! Take care. Be gentle with your feelings, but tough about meeting your body's needs. You are doing great!!

Wonderful Wednesday... & 193.6!!!!!

Wednesday, August 01, 2012

DD and g.d. are coming home today.... but it's 8pm now, sil went to get them and they were 2 hrs. delayed.... Poor Mya is going to be so tired...

I made chicken caesar salad for them when they get here. I had to have a bit of talking to with g.d. as she is abrupt, rude and disrespectful... But her moods can change minute to minute (she's not even hormonal, only 9!) We concluded with me trying to teach her some cooking type stuff and all was well. I started the 12 Day Detox today and w.i. this a.m. showed me down to 193.6 as a starting weight. WooHoo! So, even being off a plan, I lost an extra 0.6 lb.... This is a detox I've done for about 10 years, probably once or twice a year and usually over the 12 days, I lose as much as 8 lb.. My sis told me to be careful since the 17 Day Diet is a detox too (a lot cheaper) and I could be overdoing it. But, I don't think so, this plan has different allowable foods. I was thinking it was the first diet ever that I went on that didn't allow you chicken, and as I was telling this to sis, I checked the list again, and I had missed, you're allowed "poulltry", I had checked chicken and turkey, so that's good.....

I even danced to the oldies (Not the Richard Simmons version, cuz that's on VHS, just to a CD) for almost a 1.2 hr..... Only amounted to a little over 1000 steps though. I finally dragged out the pedometer today.... still just over 2200 steps.... gotta work on that, planning to do the WATP 3 miles later, didn't want to be all sweaty to hold my Mya....
