Day 23 - good news at dr. appt. too

Well, after yesterday's surprising weight change - could it get any better? Yes, it did. I went ot my nutritionist appt. today and she was able to tell me my result's s for my AIC I had done last week.... it went down to 6.9!!!!!!! YEA!!!! It was at 7.7 in Oct., so big change with exercise.... cuz this WW dieting isn't even really reflected in it yet... So, I am going to make a spinach salad for lunch and make another pot of good homemade soup this time, yesterday's was not great, way too much rice, and no one put it in the fridge, so it's probably quite toxic by now....

Temps are going up.... only -23 today!!!
And today I want to do the new WATP video with the waist belt... I'll keep ya'll posted..... emoticon emoticon

Day 22 - took power away from scale.....down 7 lb. (in 3 weeks)

I remember it used to be easy enough to take off that much in one week at WW. But as they say, each decade of your life it gets harder and harder to get it off. But, I am telling myself that with the exercise this time, I am building muscle at the same time and it weighs more.. So maybe the next trick is to postpone weighing till only every 2-3 weeks. Definitely my body can lose, just proved that....

My reward, I bought some WW cakes last nite. I had one, the carrot one, not really much taste to them, but only 1 pt. on the old plan...

Breakfast - eggbeaters, mushrooms, green peppers and conqueso cheese, apple

    That is great Lila. You are really hitting your stride now. I'm on my 2nd day of basically following Core, I feel great so I'm glad I'm trying it this way. I'm still filling in my tracker because I want to keep track of my calories and carbs and see how they line up with my glucose readings.

Day 21 - 3 weeks complete today

Breakfast - Poached eggs, toast,bananas
Lunch - Grapefruit, Minnestrone soup
Supper - homemade barley soup, imitation crab

I didn't die, but I just about did the whole 55 min. Billy Blanks Boot Camp (my dd said I could do it!!)
What a workout! But, instead of feeling defeated, I felt challenged, for the few things I couldn't do, I used the time to catch my breath and drink more water..

well, sil got my car going, so I can go to my appt and pick up some meds later.... Still ~ -30C
Back later...Well, the appt was tomorrow, not today, so I made a silly mistake and drove a half hour each way for nothing... Well, then I went shopping. I bought myself some bright new red mitts and socks. Now I gotta go gas up so car doesn't freeze again.. -47C with the windchill in a.m.

So tonite dd made chocolate chip muffins and I had one.. She only used 1/2 cup sugar for 2 doz. muffins...It's the end of my WW week and I still had 5 pts. left, so I don't think the muffin is a problem...

Still debating whether to weigh in tomorrow or wait till I finish a whole month...

Day 20 - still on track, almost 3 weeks, will I weigh-in?

So puppy wanted to go to Pee at 8am this a.m. So, I let her out and seriously thought about getting up for the day, thought about it for almost an hour, and then fell back to sleep till 12:15. My body must realize how deprived of sleep it's been.

Then I pan-fried potatoes and onions for breakfast. Then dd, sil, and g.d. and I went o Value Village. No matter how often I go there, I always find something. It's great for baby clothes - most of them are worn so seldom, it's good to get a deal on them and to know that money is supposed to be supporting charities. I got a Guess knockoff purse for $5. Id never have known, but dd is into those brandnames... it's nice though... black just seems more suitable for winter than pink...I also got about 6 tops and sweaters, and only spent $30 .. so entertainment, new outfit, and contributing to charity.

Then I made some frozen chicken, noodles and edamame for supper and a spinach smoothie and a pomegranate for snack. Been watching ET's response to the Golden Globes...

Quiet day, my car still won't go and neither will sil's... supposed to be almost -40C when we wake up....

    I give you a lot of credit for going out when it's so cold outside. I know how much fun it is to go shopping at thrift stores, though. Did a little of that myself last week. Hope you have a good week.

    Good for you for staying on track. It has been cold here but not that cold. My car did start every day and it is warming up today, we will probably have more freezing rain.

I blogged today about my 8 week plan, check it out. I'm a little disappointed, but on the whole it was a good experience. I'm trying to follow Core starting this week, I've been eating too much bread, it is just so convenient to take a sandwich for lunch. Well I made some soup for this week and core snacks are ready.

    Super for staying on track, it sure helps when you can get the nutrition and exercising in, makes you feel great for putting forth the effort.
We have a little problem with our almost 13 year old Sheltie. She needed dental surgery and the Vet, told us to put her on canned dog food to let her heal . Well, Princess has taken to the food with great gusto----wakes us up anytime after 6:30 AM to be fed. She doesn't even want to go out until she eats that darn food. Boy they can be spoiled quickly, have been mushing up some of the dry with the canned as hopefully she will eventually go back on the dry food.

Day 19 - Getting preplanned meal (soup)

I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat for breakfast when I woke and got up at 10am... good early start on the day though.
Breakfast - yogurt, SF jello, Ya pear, mortadello slicd meat
Lunch - homemade soup
Supper - more soup, hot wings, pumpkin pecan pie (small piece)
and a pear, grapefruit, pudding, applesauce, nuts..

The soup I made is great... I used barley, onions, celery, pork roast, carrots, potatoes, and tumeric and chicken broth. Hopefully the tumeric acts as a great anti-inflammatory.

We got about an inch of snow last nite but with the wind chill, we're done to -35C BRRR!

I have been on the prowl all nite, looking to stay on track, but can't find whatever it is I need to satisfy these feelings. I have been reading lots of SP articles tonite on emotional eating etc. I have had 5 potato chips and 3 chocolate kisses.... I'm really trying hard. Hopefully now this grapefruit will finally put the kiabosh to the boredeom. I really am going to walk with Leslie now... I need some endorphins to help me through!!!

Yes, I did walk 2 miles with Leslie, Thanks Terri, I also watched the Golden Globes while I walked.
And my points tracker for today said I did 100 points for the day..... Let's call that 100%
