It's been almost a year since I was really on here, but the last couple of weeks I've been fairly diligent. I'm excited about spending more time focusing on myself emotionally, physically, and mentally. I love learning new stuff about nutrition and exercise every day by reading articles (and getting those SparkPoints). Seriously, this website was made for me, and I hope I never get "too busy" to spend a little time on here every day.
Along the lines of loving SparkPeople, I became a Team Leader this weekend of an existing team called Holy Yoga. I'd never heard of Holy Yoga before, but I've been doing it for awhile without knowing that there was a whole foundation devoted to Christian yoga. Anyway, I'm super excited about it, and if anyone else is interested, you should check out our team.

I've been doing really well with my calories this week. It's pretty easy when I have a busy day to schedule in reasonable meals and exercise. Today, however, my schedule's completely different. Today will be a test to see if I can maintain my healthy calorie intake over the weekend.

Well, this week's been a rough one as far as cardio goes. Last week was a breeze, and I met and exceeded my goals. That encouraged me to up my goals only to find that I don't have the energy this week.
Despite being tired, I did 45 minutes of cardio in two sessions today! That's more than I've ever done in one day before.
I love surprising myself. It helps me to believe next time. Tomorrow when I'm tying up my running shoes, I'll have the vision of completing 3 miles of running intervals, and I'll KNOW I can do it again.
Along the same positive train of thought, I haven't gone over my calories in a long time! I think this is my longest streak. SparkPeople is helping me to learn more and want to do more and more to be healthy. I love it.

If you've watched the weather today, you know how it's been in Tennessee--dreary, stormy, frightening. Usually on days like today my mood and energy are super low, but I got up, did some yoga, ate a good breakfast, took my new vitamins, and jumped on the treadmill! The rest of the day was fabulous. I had tons of energy and dealt with all the stresses of work and weather without a hitch.
Thank you healthy eating and exercise for helping me deal with a seemingly unavoidable bad day!
