UGH!!! FEEL LIKE THE ONLY THING I HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF WORKING OUT IS A HEALTHY HEART... I AM GETTING SO FRUSTRATED... I AM DOIN AND HAVE DONE ALMOST EVERYTHING... AND NO MAJOR RESULTS... I STILL WEIGH THE SAME... JUST CAN'T GET THE SCALE TO MOVE AND MY CLOTHES ARE NOT FITTING MUCH DIFFERENT EITHER... I TRIED ON A PAIR OF TIGHT JEANS ABOUT 9 MONTHS AGO... TRIED THEM ON AGAIN PRAYING AND HOPEING THEY HAVE GOTTEN A LITTLE LOOSE BUT NOPE THEY STILL FIT THE SAME!! I AM WORKING OUT AND EATING RIGHT.. HAVE CHANGED MY WORKOUTS TRYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT BUT STILL NOTHING... DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO... ALMOST READY TO GIVE UP emoticon ..... AND PLEASE BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU ARE ABOUT TO SUGGEST I HAVE TRIED... AND NOTHING!!!! UGHHHH!!! ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS.... SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP.......

    It's frustrating when you're trying so hard and the scale is just being a jerk. I've found what is going on in my head is more important to my weight loss than the food I eat or the exercise I do. So if you're doing everything already food/exercise-wise, maybe it's time to look at how the things you tell yourself are blocking you from your goals.     A healthy heart is a great accomplishment-so good for you.

There are several things to look at when you can't see the scale budge. Do take some measurements and check them again in one month. You might be able to see some results. Are you strength training along with your cardio? That's an idea too.

Then there's tracking the food. Sometimes people are eating in their calorie range but not getting a good balance of the nutrients. Looking at that may help too.

Don't give up--we all want you to be successful too. emoticon

Often my girlfriends get mad at me because I call s _ _ t like I see it honey. I don't pull no punches gurl whether its in my private life or in dealin with this weightloss thing. The moment that you start to lie to yourself girl and "don't make it as bad as it seem" , you FAIL! Its literally like turning down a dead end road and not bein able to change directions until its way too late. And honey once you begin that flawed journey you most likely ain't commin back to SUCCESS no time soon!

3. 'YOU KNOW WHEN YOU MESSIN UP HONEY'
Self explanitory girl, I'm sure you get the idea wit this one boo sooooooo DON'T EVEN GO THERE GURL N IF U DO WORK QUICKLY TO CHANGE YOUR BAD HABBIT AND GET BACK ON THE WAGON!

4. 'BE BRUTALLY HONEST' or (FEAR NO SCALE)
Lastly, don't ever be afraid of measuring the degree of either your WEIGHTLOSS SUCCESS or your WEIGHTLOSS FAILURE. Girl the SCALE, TAPE MEASURE, HEART RATE MONITOR, STEP COUNTER and whatever informative indicater that they in tha future are gonna invent IS THERE LIKE A MIRROR TO GIVE YOU THE ACCURATE PICTURE OF ALL YOUR HARD, SWEAT DRENCHING WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS to date. Use this oh sooooo valuable information to study your progress and to maybe consider possibly modifying or editing your program. Or even further still you and your doctor might with the consideration of the data collected, decide to try ANOTHER WEIGHT LOSS APPROACH ENTIRELY. All this evaluation, if not done in the beginning and if not done accurately all along the way (whether the results were GOOD or BAD) would simply be useless and ULTIMATELY WOULD NOT HELP YOU LOSE THE FAT - FURTHER SETTING ALL YOUR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS BACK!

WELL HONEY, I HOPE YOU FIND SOME OF MY TAKES ON THIS HELPFUL. THESE SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM MY OWN SOMETIMES PAINFUL EXPERIENCES IN DEALIN WITH THIS LONG WEIGHTLOSS JOURNEY.

    I know exactly how you feel. I've only been back with SparkPeople for about 9 days, but I have also already blogged about how frustrated I am. i am also doing cardio everyday at least for 30 mins. I know it gets better though. I've watched those shows like Thintervention on Bravo and see the frustrations and transformations that people have had and know that we can overcome as well. emoticon

    Hey girl,
I've gotten to that point as well which is why i fell off the wagon a while ago. But just remember that you are still making yourself healthy even if the scale doesn't want to show it. :) I'm getting back into working out, the eating part will take me a while though.

    DON'T GIVE UP! It will break loose but you gotta be more stubborn. Keep going, keep trying, keep on keeping on. Everyone hits a plateau. They keep going and eventually break that plateau. For different ppl what breaks it is different. Try drinking more water or change up your routine. If you don't have a regular day off from exercise then take one. Just some ideas.

    Oh my friend, I'm so sad that you feel down right now. But to tell you the truth I'm kinda in the same boat too! Getting frustrated.

But you know what, we are too strong to give up. Let's recharge and motivate ourselves. We got this. But remember one thing, you are still beautiful. Yes you want to better yourself but that doesn't mean that you still don't look good. YOu look damn good! So feel good about yourself. Hope you hang in there! emoticon

  It is a wave... emoticon for many of us. Or a roller coaster... Some people seem to be exempt from it - I would love to know their secret. But my "motivation" stays firmly planted in a roller coaster. I can go about 3 weeks (I think that is the longest I've made it) before I crash and burn. Sometimes the "crash and burn" lasts only a day, other times "WEEKS!!". Why?? I wish I had a clue. Sparking - visting Sparkpeople, checking in with teammates, welcoming the newbies, helps me get back on track. Reviewing my goals and my dreams, helps me get back on track. So girl, take time today, to look at what you have accomplished and think about your goals. Then grab a hold of those boot straps and get back to your plan. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Hey, my sister warrior. We are all going through this. You are not alone unless you chose to be. There are so many of your teammates, myself included, that have gone through ups and downs during this battle, but we have had each other to help pull us back from that edge so we are able to refocus and regroup.

    If it makes you feel any better, you should know that I'm in the same boat as you! Even two weeks ago that I lost 2 lbs. after that I couldn't stay motivated. I was ready to give up. It's so many crazy ups and downs that I scare myself! But girl, let's hold on together. Just don't let yourself totally go back to your bad ways! That's why keeps me going a little, just telling myself that I've improved in a lot of ways. And that we can have a rest from all this but don't completely start binging on junk like we use too! Good luck, but plese don't give it up!
