I recognize that I almost have the body I want. I am within a pound or two of my ideal weight. Yet, I don't have the eating habits I want. For the past couple months, I have been over my calorie range more than in it. If I set my nutrition tracker in losing mode for 1200-1550 calories, I tend to eat 1625. If I set it for 1500-1850, I tend to eat 1950. And occasionally I have a 2500 calorie day. And worse, I often quit tracking when I run out of calories, so that my reports are incomplete and not as helpful as they should be.
I want to be like Monty and WalkingAnnie. I want to stay within my calorie allowance.
I'm eating about 10 servings of freggies daily, always get my milk products, eat almost exclusively whole grains. I eat very little saturated fat and virtually no trans fat. Most days I have at least 2 teaspoons of olive or canola oil. I take fish oil supplement. I eat a great variety of foods. I always have 8 glasses of water or more. In the 10 months I've been on SparkPeople, I have not had a week that I did not achieve my fitness minutes, and usually go over quite a bit.
But I am still overeating, usually between 8-11pm. I know lots of tricks to quit evening munching, but I need to decide which strategy to employ now. I'm going to think about setting a goal and setting up a rewards for (1) sticking to my calorie range and (2) tracking 100%.
Part of me thinks I'm nuts to worry about my eating when my weight is good. The other part of me thinks I'm not really in control and that could spell disaster.
