Continuing to make progress. Weight at 128.8 this morn, just 2.8 over happy weight! On track with half marathon training program. Group run tomorrow morning. Challenge will be getting to sleep early enough tonight to get a good night's sleep. We'll see. (Hubby is definitely the owl - likes to go to bed much later, so it is hard for me to get to sleep early enough on a regular schedule. Trip out west, 2 hours earlier, didn't help either, but I'm trying.)
Gwen will be here soon and this afternoon we'll go see Natalie's gymnastic performance. I have both kids tomorrow afternoon and all day Sunday; take Natalie to camp and keep Gwen on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and both kids the following Sunday. Wednesday I work in the office. Tuesday I'm going to a Life Writing Workshop. I'm also really hoping to get a lot of housework done. Busy week anticipated!
I've had flirting thoughts about the National Senior Games. My best 5K time of 27:33 would qualify for nationals, assuming I finished in the top 4 in a qualifying race. The Florida state games are in Lee County, same county as Fort Myers, in December. But the 2014 national games are in Oregon and the 2015 games are in Minneapolis. One side of me just thinks it would be really cool to get to go and participate, even if I came in at the back of the pack. I probably will be more practical, but just fun to think about it. Sometimes I'm competitive and enjoy going head to head; other times I kind of get stressed out. Spending money on a family vacation that everyone enjoys is decidedly more practical. Dream on!
