I watched this movie and a lot of his other movies where he did studies such like this one. It is amazing what the body can go through when you do make bad habits such as going to these fast food restaurants. Great Blog.

Whoa, if I ever needed motivation to not eat at McDonalds this would be it! Luckily for me I don't like much of their food, I used to but I stopped eating beef/burgers and now would only eat the fish sandwich...

Only 13 more 'steps' to go~ I'm so excited!!!!

Friday, February 15, 2008

I call the pounds I need to lose ~ "steps".

I want to weigh 125 pounds I have 11 steps..(fat pounds to lose).

This (calling pounds 'steps') seems to take the feeling of fear of this away from me. I guess it is also called 'anxiety'. Sometimes it is difficult to face whatever is bothering you. ( is sometimes difficult for ME to face what is bothering ME). feels good to get in touch with those feelings..guess that's why 'they' say it is good to journal your feelings..that get 'in touch' with your feelings.

So..after weigh in yesterday morning..I was blinking and blinking at the # on the said "136.5"
Is this a mistake??
Blink Blink
It's got to be a mistake.
So I got off and got back on the scale again.
"I can't believe it!!!!! "Oh my God!"

I've a fear of looking really good..

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Have had a slight fear of looking really good..even sexy-not to the whole community..of course, but being myself, but being sensual..

I even hate to admit it to all of you here at sparkpeople...

I've worn baggy clothes to cover myself up..
and as I get older ..I want to live-and not hide myself under ugly clothes..I want to be sort of like a butterfly, you might say..coming out in beauty for the first time.

Let your beauty unfold. Its ok to be scared as long as you never let fear STOP you.

Hey, I know exactly what you mean. I reached my goal of 179 last month and someone I hadn't seen for a long time went on and on about how great I looked and I think it triggered an eating binge that lasted 3 weeks! Of course, the holidays didn't help either, but for me, it's scary getting all that attention. I guess we need to remind ourselves that we deserve to be the best we can be, to feel good in our own skin, even if all the attention can be overwhelming. Best, Lucrece

Do you think its a protective measure that you are using? I've heard of this before, that one is used to being heavier and doesn't know if they can handle the attention that being smaller might come with.

Getting your feet on the floor is the HARDEST part but you are STRONG and you can do it. You have to want to be healthy more than you want to stay in bed and I think you do. You can do it, we're here behind you!

Did you get up at 5:00? I get up at 5:15 in the morning but I don't exercise in the morning now that it is cold. But when it was warmer, I loved running outside early morning before the sun rose...very peaceful! Is your son in Africa through the IMB? I definitely agree that everywhere is the mission field. Do you share your faith with others around you? If you do, have you ever heard of "pocket testaments"? Their website is and they will let you order 30 free gospels every month. They are great. Well, I'm about to leave to go run...hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!

I have not yet fully committed myself to weight-loss. I am trying to figure everything out at this point. I am very busy, and finding the time for myself is hard. I am looking into getting a gym membership. My workout time would be about 5:30 am, so I too would be have to get up unusually early.
Good luck on your early workout schedule. brow0229
