Got through a vacation in good shape

Back from five days and four nights in Ogunquit Maine. I stayed on top of my food and tried to make healthy choices. A lot of food I had to guess at as there were no nutritional guidelines online for the restaurants we ate in. I had fruit, yogurt and granola "sundae" three of the mornings and splurged on French toast the 4th morning. I walked ALOT and when I got home and weighted myself, I had lost almost a pound. I am a happy girl! emoticon

A vacation challenge

I am in ogunquit for 5 days mi i vacation and finding food to be too difficult to count. Breakfast was really good with a bowl of fresh fruit , a scoop of yogurt and topped with granola and for dinner I chose a grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings...yummy but not part of the plan. The good news is I am walking a lot. I did 5 miles of walking today and took 14859 steps on my pedometer. Finding a balance without being consumed...

I am challenged everyday so far to stay within my goals. I found I am short at the end of everyday. I Ned to follow more of the daily menus so that I am not winging it so much.
Did not exercise today but did use my pedometer and walked 1.25 miles total....feel good about that emoticon

    I also have same problem. I can't even log my food because I am vegetarian (eat indian food) and my most of the food are not even listed

managed to make my goals today and walked 8653 steps which equal 3.55 miles. Still spending ALOT of time working out food totals. Went to Wegmans on a shopping trip just for my meal plans and bought high protein foods (which I can still improve upon the totals) as well as a small head of brocolli for my folate (which I was still short on tonight). I ate the whole head but felt really "healthy"....not missing junk food yet as I am very full everyday. emoticon

Another day

Today I wore my pedometer and walked 9500 hundred steps toward my goal of 10,000 steps. That included a 2 mile walk. My challenge was ordering a Meditteranean Chicken roll up from our pizza shop and trying to calculate the calories etc. i thought this was a better choice than the meatball pizza I would have order if not on spark people and I would have had three pieces and some potato chips too. I only ate half the roll up and saved the other half for tomorrow. Things to work on...watching the cholesterol (was high today) and getting enough folate. (low today) but otherwise I think I had a very good day.

  Congratulations on your 9500 steps. I can't imagine the distances it takes to accumulate that many steps.
