10/2/2009 I said I was going to get back on track on Monday, and I have done just that. So many times I have said that but not followed through and then ended up feeling worse. I figured out how to get exercise done in the mornings depsite having 2 kids at home to get ready for school...I am having them eat their breakfast at school, which leaves me 30 minutes to walk at the park across the street from where I work all before 8 AM. This has double benefits because the kids are getting a nutritionally rounded breakfast from the school instead of just the cold cereal they are used to at home and I am getting in some cardio. All of those SparkPeople Family emails I get are paying off! Two good things happened yesterday. First, I ordered The Spark. The book alone sounds great, but when you put all the cool goodies with it, it becomes AWESOME! Secondly, I started running again. Well, wogging..Julie's term for walking and jogging together. There is a 5k in Fort Worth the day after Thanksgiving and I'm wanting to sign up for it. I think I'll go find the website now and sign up. emoticon

September 28, 2009 Reality check...big time reality check. I knew I had gained weight, but this much? Damn, I'm upset with myself. I've made a decision to get back on track today though. And as of right now, I've done it for today!

    Hi Skoosey. The road to success is never straight. That is why each day is a new begining. Forget about yesterday, today you started new. You can do it. Last Day of 2008

12-31-2008 Another year come and gone and what a wild year it has been. I weighed 219.5 at the beginning of 2008 and today I weigh 171 which is a yearly loss of 48.5 pounds. I'm getting so close to my personal goal of weighing 1/2 of my highest weight...less than 5 pounds to go! emoticon

11-1-08 again... emoticon I took the kids to the park with every intention of parking the van so I could read my magazines and watch them on the playground. Next thing I know I'm walking the track that goes around the park (Jordan and my neice were there to watch Ethan...not to worry!) When I was done, I had ended up running 1.3 miles and walking 0.8 miles. I haven't ran since July and am so freaking excited. Things are definitely back on track now. Woo Hoo!! emoticon

Back on Track!

11-1-08 emoticon I've had a rough couple of months and gained 9 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I don't think this is possible since I've had gastric bypass, so I did the 5 day pouch test and finished up yesterday, which as Halloween. I did really good and lost 8 of those 9 pounds. I need to get back to the gym and plan on doing some kind of exercise. I tend to ease my way back to the gym when I've been away from it for so long. It's beautiful this weekend, so maybe me and the kids will head to the park and feed the ducks and get a few laps in too. I didn't eat any Halloween candy last night...I'm really proud of myself for that! emoticon
