I have just finished the second go-round of P90X and I must say, I am proud of myself for sticking with it for the whole time, that's an accomplishment in itself. The first time I did it I lost 13 inches all over, this time it was another 7 inches, so a total of 20 inches from 28 weeks of P90X.
I can definitely say that it sculpted my body, just a tad. I can see a little muscle definition, but certainly not the results I would have liked to have seen and I know for the most part I put 100% effort into it. So I kinda have mixed feelings about it. It is a great program, I am happy about losing 20 inches, but I would have like to have looked like the people in the success videos. We've all seen them.... the cut, ripped, hard bodies, well that didn't exactly happen to me, but what did happen is results I am happy with...
1. I started and finished - TWICE
2. I conquered the Plyo workout - I still HATE it.
3. Self confidence has improved
4. Lost 20 total inches
5. Muscle definition in shoulders, upper body, and I have some awesome looking calves and thighs - woo hoo
6. Proved I can do anything for 30 seconds.
I may post before and after pics, not sure yet, kinda scared to put myself out there like that.
Have you completed P90X????? Did you get the promised results?????? I wanna hear all about it.

It never fails, when the weather is perfect I'm NOT. Been sick all week with double ear infection and bronchitis. Crawled back into the office today after being home, in bed, for two days. Not much improvement, just sticking it out today, then I will have the weekend off to finish my recovery.
The temperature has dipped to a gorgeous 60 degrees, oh my heavens, it's perfect running weather and I'm sick . I think I am most bitter about that. I hate being sick, but not being able to enjoy this gorgeous weather really hurts. It's set me back a week of training. Oh well, can't do anything but take care of myself.... plenty of soup, liquids and rest. Hope everyone can get out and enjoy the weather for me. Love to all, have a great weekend.

Normally size doesn't matter in my book, but I have to stop and toot the horn.
TOOT TOOT, BEEP BEEP, HONK HONK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm beeping and honking from the rooftops today. Woooooo hooooo.
Just bought my first SIZE SIX. Got a white pair of flair leg jeans. I haven't worn a size 6 since high school (1986). I am so excited. Not only are they a size 6, but they were on clearance for $5.99, regularly $34.99. What a deal.
Feeling so elated today as I am rocking the new jeans with a sleeves purple top and white wedge heals. Yes I know it's after labor day for the white shoes, but that rule went right out the window, had to wear these pants today.
Life is good.

I had to share this recipe with my Sparkies. I tried this new recipe last night, so easy, so yummy. I used a can of diced tomatoes with green chilis in them and a mixture of the cheeses I had in my frig (half cheddar/half mexican blend). Everyone loved it, even Mr. Picky Pants, lol. Enjoy.
Hope everyone enjoys a super holiday weekend, I'm off starting this afternoon for a lovely 4-day weekend. Fall is right around the corner, bid the summer farewell. Bring on the football, hoodie weather and autumn leaves.

I was out running my 6-miler last night on one of my usual routes. I spent most of the run dodging pinecones, downed limbs, piles of pinestraw and ever so deadly gumballs. Ya ever landed directly on a gumball, it will make you flip your ankle in a heart beat, no fun.
There was even two downed trees that i had to go around. Well this guy pulls over on the side of the road right next to me so I just kept running and glancing back to see where he was, the further I got I could still see the car sitting there. I was close to the half-way turnaround and I could still see him sitting there. At this point I was kinda creeped out so I crossed the street and decided to run the way back on the bike path.
This worked out nicely since I could see shadows behind me and I could concentrate of eyeballing the creeps car ahead of me. I took out my pepper spray from my fanny pack and decided I was going to run with it in my hand, just in case - I even flipped the button to have it armed and ready.
I was still dodging gumballs and sticks on the bike path. I zigged right to miss a small tree limb and when I went to step down with the left foot it almost landed on a snake. Holy Ham, I absolutely hate snakes, I totally freaked out. Break out the defibulator cuz I am sure my heart stopped.
Well at this point with the creep in the car and the snake I was ready to get back home, so I kicked it into high gear and high tailed it back to the house. Shooooo, safe and sound.
I came in and told my DH about the humongous anaconda on the bike path, we both laughed and I said.... perhaps I exaggerated the "anaconda" - It was really about 12 inches long and as big around as pencil, but it was very colorful. I googled to find a picture of it, and let me tell you I have the heebie jeebies from looking at snake pics, YUCK !!!!!! so quite an exciting evening.
In retrospect.... I need a whistle to go along with my pepper spray. I would feel much safer if I could blow a whistle in an emergency, and how convenient the little pocket on my running tank would hold a whistle nicely.
This is a pic of my anaconda, lol. I am assuming this is the right one, the only one I could find that matched what I saw - perhaps it was someone's pet, who knows, but keep the anacondas away from me.
