My word for the day is BLAH. Not much to say, just kinda BLAH. Woke up with a headache, muscle stiff in my neck, think it's a tension headache, but really starting to bug me. Slow at work today, going to NY & Co. at the mall for my lunch hour, supposed to have a really great sale going on, hoping a great bargain will take the BLAH outta my day.
Daughter has a doctor appointment this afternoon to follow up on her migraines, how's that for more BLAH. At least this doctor has helped, thank goodness. I received my new addition of Shape magazine so I can read it while we wait. Cover says.... "Flat Abs, Tight Tush, Killer Legs" - hey I want all of those and "5 Ways to Beat the Winter Blues" - I think we all need to read that article, enough with winter already.
Stopping at Trader Joes before doctor visit and grab an assortment of nuts, gotta have me some almonds, etc. and hopefully something to tantilize the tastebuds for dinner - still, that's kinda BLAH too.
No workout tonight since we've been going at it pretty hard all week and we have a nine-mile trial run set up for tomorrow evening. Gonna see what this old body can do.
So all in all, today is kinda BLAH, but it has potential. Just feeling BLAH, but I'm sure it will pass, every day can't be rosey and sunshiney, have to have a BLAH in the mix as well, keeps life interesting.
Even though I'm BLAH, still sending wishes to all my SPARK buddies to have a great day.

From my long list of goals, I managed to complete one last night... cooking a new recipe once a month.
I made ground chicken mini-pizza burgers and boy were they yummy, tasted kinda like a meat loaf, only BETTER. Why haven't I ever tried these before
I got the recipe from SPARK for those who want to try it and of course, I tweeked it a bit because I'm not eating cheese, but it turned out fantastic. You make them in a cupcake pan, so you have 12 servings. Makes great little bite size (well actually about four bites) protein snacks and pretty low in calories - DEFINITELY going to become a must have for a quick snack, gonna bake another batch this weekend. A MUST TRY recipe.
Managed to get in a 3.5 mile run last night before dinner and before it starting to rain. Thank goodness we made it back in time because I am certainly not a fan of icy cold rain.
Tonight is gonna be a watch tv and bike night, taking it easy - maybe even get some takeout food for the family, I'm having those leftover yummy chicken burgers.

Last night great workout - 45 minutes of Just Dance 2 on the "sweat" mode, wow, and yes, you really sweat. Then rode my stationary bike for 45 minutes. Woo Hoo, what a way to start a Monday.
My new found entertainment, watching basketball... college or pro, doesn't really matter, just bring on the hoops. I am suffering from NFL withdrawls already so it's only fair to take up a new sport. The catch is.... I will ride my bike while I watch the games. Rode for 45 minutes watching the end of the Wizards and the Knicks last night. It's really not hard to find something to entertain me with, I'm easily amused and also happiest when I'm working out.
After one week of my new eating plan, I've lost 2 pounds - woo hoo. The scale FINALLY moved. I believe next week will be better as I fell off the wagon on Sunday and had a few slices of bread and a piece of diet coke cake, but sticking to it to see if the scale will move again next week.
Registered for the VA is for Lovers 14K race, yep, 14K, I'm definitely crazy. Just want to push myself harder, I haven't really been running since it is so cold outside, but I'm gonna suck it up and just get myself out the door. Hopefully tonight the rain will hold off til I get a run finished. Gotta start amping it up, race is only 18 days away.
Found a free Insanity/Turbo Jam/P90X class on Saturday mornings at a local gym, I signed up for the first one this week. Taught by a real Beach Body instructor so hoping to burn off some serious calories in a group fitness class. Also starting my second round of P90X next Monday.
I've got a lot of things I'm working on fitness wise, so hopefully all this major calorie burning will get these last few pounds off.

We have a great get together on Friday evening for the VA Beach Sparkers. Got to meet some interesting people, real motivators and great ideas. So glad we put this meeting together. Looking forward to a lot of new and exciting things to come. Thanks to all that attended. Looking forward to the next one, which will be really soon.

I'm sooooo excited.... this Friday night I have organized an informal spark get together. I am the current team leader and I decided it was time for a mix and mingle get together. Looking forward to meeting others who share my enthusiasm, to meet the people behind the keyboard/computer screen. I'm excited, yet nervous but really looking forward to it. Nothing formal, just a simple gathering of fellow sparkers. We are bringing SPARK-tacular treats to munch on. Hopefully this will be a success and people will show up. It's taken a lot of planning so I'm hoping others will come and we can have a meeting of minds to develop new and interesting ideas for the team.
I truly wish all my fellow SP buddies could be there, like Jolie, Judy, Sherry, Jen, BFF, (to name a few) etc., but I know you will be there with me in spirit. Your support has meant so much to me over the last year, couldn't do it without you ladies and dudes, too.
Would you attend a spark gathering?????
