I decided over New Years holiday to get organized and start saving money, so I started with grocery coupons. Last night I took my shopping lists and coupons and got some really good deals. Most of the stuff I don't eat, but the family does - gotta keep them happy even though I've turned into a health nut.
Two boxes of cereal, had a $1.00 off coupon and got a free box of granola bars
Razors - BOGOF
2 boxes of Taco shells and 2 seasoning mixes for $1.74
Total Spent = $20.28 a total SAVINGS of....... 18.57
The money I'm saving will be put in my vacation fund for our upcoming trip to San Fran this summer. I think I might like this "couponing" thing.

A Great Start: Got up this morning at 4:15 to get my workout outta the way - P90X Kenpo is DONE, anything else today is X-tra - woo hoo.
Something New: A friend told me to mix protein powder in oatmeal for breakfast cuz I'm growing kinda tired of making chocolate smoothies, especially since it is soooooo cold outside. Well, I'm not a fan of oatmeal but I tried it anyway, I think I've found my new breakfast food of choice - kinda like the oatmeal, well the protetin powder was a tad overpowering so next time I'm gonna mix two packets of oatmeal with it instead of one. This is supposed to keep me FULL until lunchtime, chase away those morning hungries, so we will see if the oatmeal sticks to my gut and keeps me full.
Tonight: Coupon shopping at Target - yeah, for retail therapy, even if it's for grocery items. Gonna save a couple bucks - even better. A friend suggested I put the money I save in a jar to save for a great vacation, gonna try that. I'm all about a great vacation, especially going to San Fran this summer to see my BFF.
It's gonna be a day.

Well it's NO secret that I absolutely hate the P90X plyo workout but when I got home last night I decided to try something different. I put the TV on mute and cranked up some upbeat tunes, made the workout go much easier and was actually FUN (did I just say FUN?) anyhow, the tempo of the music was a bit faster than the DVD so I think I got in quite a few extra hops, woo hoo, totally rocked it last night - Plyo DONE and the special secret is.... add some tunes, it makes the time leap on by, lol
Today things are back at a normal pace after my very stressful day yesterday. I seriously need a double dose of vitamin D - where are you sunshine?????? Please come back into my life, I need you. How many more days til Spring?

Gonna be a busy day at the office, gonna be CHAINED to my desk all day, probably have to work late, I'm under the gun on a hot deadline so I'm stressin just a tad. But I get to look forward to my PLYO workout tonight - NOT. That is the workout I dread the most, don't like it, hate it, but I am gonna suck it up and do it later tonight regardless of how I feel about it, so I have all day to worry about that too,

I had a craving for something sweet over the weekend, and we had bought my daughter a bag of hostess choc frosted mini donuts, she likes these on occasion and we only buy them every now and then. So I had three mini donuts, no harm done right? Ooh and let me tell you they were deliciously sinful. Well while I was eating the last of my three, I decided to look at the nutrition label - HOLY HAM, shoulda checked before I ate them. A WHOPPING 260 calories for three - thats 86 calories EACH. WOW !!!!!
Just wanted to SHOCK yall at the beginning of the week - no more teeny, tiny donuts for me. Hope everyone has a great week.
