After a great brisk 45-minute walk after dinner last night, my sis and I sat down to preview P90X, so we could just see what we are in store for. Well, guess what? I'm hooked, it looks like exactly what I've been wanting to do. I've been wanting to beef up the muscles, tone and work on strength. We watched the Ab Ripper - OMG, that is gonna make me so sore, so we are gonna wait and try that one on Friday, to have a weekend recovery. Tonight we are going to do shoulders/bicep workout, that one looks awesome, so we will start with that tonight after dinner.
I can't say that I can make P90X an everyday thing right now, but I am going to work "AT IT". I decided last night that I am DEFINITELY going to train for a half-marathon, I have to go for it, my gut is telling me "JUST DO IT", so I am going to. Going to run a 14K in February, then will evaluate if I want to run marathon in March or wait till Fall (we shall see). Running has to be number 1 on the priority list - we are going to train 3 to 4 days a week, then fill it in with P90X for now. As running progresses, more P90X.
I can honestly say, that never before in my life has fitness been the number one thing on my list until this past year. It's become my goal to push my body harder, try new things, and just see if I can out do myself. I'm really giving it 100% and for the first time in my life, I'm feeling really successful. I am working on my own success story.
My determination and drive comes from surrounding myself with great SP friends who have the same goals, and same mindset - everyday ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
SPARK is my home. I love all my SP buddies. Thanks to all my buddies that inspire me everyday and to my sis for telling me "I can" when I doubt myself.

My SIL brought us the P90X yesterday. I am so excited, but not quite ready to start it just yet, because I am still training pretty hard with the running.
I am really excited about the running too, I did a 10K run on Saturday morning in 66 minutes. That is a fantastic time since this was the first time I ran the whole thing, no slowing down, no walking, just a steady pace to finish in great time. Running is becoming my passion and my gut keeps nagging me to go for a half-marathon, why I don't know. Well I guess I do know, I thought I could never run a 5K or a 10K, but since I am slowing proving that anything is possible, I might just do a half - I'm thinking really hard about it. That would be so great to be able to accomplish that. So for now, my committment is to running, but I am so excited about P90X.
One of my SP buddies is totally rocking the P90X and has really inspired me to try it and my SIL completed it, so I ask myself... Can I do P90X too? Hmmmm, I really want to, just have to work out the logistics of fitting it in to my running schedule, it also means I would have to give up my kickboxing class for a while too. I am going to preview it tonight and we will see if it really SPARKS me to get into it. I am totally in the frame of mind "that anything is possible", "I CAN". I don't like to think that there is something out there that I can't do, so I am really looking for a challenge and I'm thinking P90X is where it's at.
I will let everyone know what I decide. What do you think?

I am so glad you are back in action. Can you please consider making football an all year sport? I've had to suffer 8 months without you. Gonna be glued to the TV from now untill Superbowl. Want to see some action with my number one dude #43 Troy Polamalu.

Look out there LT Dan, the Z sisters busted out a 6.5 miler this morning in record time, woot woot. We were going so fast we had flames coming off of the back of our shoes, like we had been strapped to a launching rocket. WOOT WOOT. It's all good. We had fun and we ran the entire way, no walking and no slacking.
Can't wait for our race in two weeks, be ready.
OOOPS, I almost forgort - lost another pound this week, I am so excited, only 9 more to go.

Today is just one of those blah days, really super super super busy at work and not getting a lot accomplished. Not enough hours in the day. Very frustrating. One a good note....
High school football game tonight and enough calories to have a ballpark hot dog - yeah.
Can't wait until 5:00 quitting time, it can't come fast enough. Gonna be a great weather weekend, doing a 6-miler in the a.m. at the oceanfront then there is a parade. I just love parades and this is not your ordinary parade - it's a Shriner's parade. They are having a convention down at the beach this weekend, with the highlight - A PARADE. Brings back great childhood memories, don't know why I get a litle lump in my throat though, maybe just happy thoughts.
