Last night's body sculpting class was great, we worked all the major muscle groups and then a few little muscles I didn't even know I had. A little sore in the hip flexors this morning and in the chest, used some heavier weights for chest flys - owwiee.
Got up at 4:30 this morning, jumped into my running clothes, opened the back door to let the dogs out and it was raining - oh snap. I was disappointed that it was sprinkling, but I decided I would go put my shoes on and decide what to do instead of a run. I mean after all, I was up and ready for a workout, just not an outside workout. Got my shoes on and did another weather check (opened front door) and it wasnt raining, so "hot dog" I'm going running. Stopped into the kitchen, grabbed a ziplock bag for my cell phone, just in case it started raining again.
Out the door and 4-miles later, I'm home, jumping in shower, rushing to get dressed because we got a later start today. I was ready in 25-minutes, grabbed my cup of coffee on the way out the front door. Sheesh, what a morning, but feeling ready to face the day after a great run this morning.
Looking forward to TurboJam Kickboxing tonight, our instructor told us she has a new routine for us tonight, I'm excited about that, love to change things up, don't like doing the same thing all the time, gotta trick this ole body into letting go of these last 13 pounds.
Hope everyone has a SPARKling day. Make it count !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to say that I am honored to have been named a Spark Motivator. I was certainly surprised and very humbled. Thanks for all those who made this possible. I thought about what it means to be a motivator: you encourage people, you lead by example and inspire people to action - wow, I certainly never considered myself one to inspire others, but I am so happy to be a Spark Motivator. I've been very fortunate to have brought my sister, my sons-in-law and a few friends into SPARK - I am fortunate to be seeing their lives being transformed by SPARK and I see on a daily basis total life changes for so many of my fellow Sparkers.
So I asked myself, who motivates the motivator? the answer is simple..... YOU !!
After being on this website for17 months, I have learned so much about YOU !!! There are those that are just starting out, those that are struggling from day to day and those who have great successes. I can say that we motivate each other. Learning from the experiences of others is probably the greatest part of SP. We all have something unique to offer and we should want to share it with others, we never know what we might say that can totally change the life of another.
Ocassionally, I need to be motivated and I turn to... YOU !!!! Each one of you have inspired me in some way or another and I try every day to repay that in a small way, by helping others. I want YOU to succeed. I would never want to disappoint you and worse...I would never want to disappoint myself.
I believe the key to staying motivated is..... NEVER DISAPPOINT YOURSELF. Dig down deep for that inner strength when you need it the most, it's there, you just have to uncover it, find it, harness it and just keep SPARKING.

Live each day like it were your last. Life is too short and you never know when it can be taken away in an instant. Make peace with yourself, live with no regrets. Someone I love very much is slowing being taken away, my grandmother has Alzheimers. She's slipping away, it's so sad to know she's going further away with each day.
A tragedy can strike at any time, be prepared - make amends, always tell that someone you love them, each and every day, take nothing for granted.
Sorry for somber post, but I am surrounded by LIFE in a very real way today. We just got a phone call from home (West VA), my father-in-law was just rushed to the hospital and is in intensive care, that's all we know for now, we are waiting for more news. He has been battling congestive heart failure for the past 15 years, and only has approx. 1/4 of his heart functioning and certainly something of this nature cannot be a good thing.
SP buddies: please say a prayer for my father-in-law. We are hoping for the best. It's all in God's hands.
Remember to tell those that are important to you that you love them today and every day.

I rode my motorcycle to work today, gonna be a nice weather day. Haven't rode it in about 2 weeks so I was itching to start her up and take her for a spin. Great ride this morning, I just love getting caught up in a pack of bikers on Dam Neck Road and I'm the only LDY RYDER. I'm thinking to myself - "yeah, that's right, a chick on a bike - yeah this chick can handle a big girl bike"
I just love my "big girl" bike, as my BFF refers to it, but "Zilla" is her name. I miss my wing-girl. My wing-girl is probably riding lone wolf, cruising the PCH in California, without me, sniff, sniff - you'll always be my wing girl, love ya and miss ya.
Hope all my SP buddies have a totally exhilerating day !!!
