Seems I don't really have much to say this morning, spent a miserably hot weekend indoors. Finally a break from the heat, so hopefully will get a lot of mileage on the ole running shoes this week. Gonna go to kickboxing class on Mon and Wed, bodysculpting on Tues, throw in a few rounds of yoga -gonna be a great fitness week.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a healthy, fit week planned. Happy Monday!!!!
P.S. I forgot to mention I lost 2 pounds - FINALLY, the scale moves

Attempted a run this morning at 6:00, temperature was already 85 at 6:00 a.m. Went out for a run, couldn't find the groove in this heat, so just walked, only managed 3.5 miles and that took us 57 minutes, which means we were doing granny walking. Walking was difficult, seems like I was dragging, ok not seemed like, WAS. Couldn't hardly put one foot in front of the other. Humidity was killing me. I can't remember the last time I was ready to have my workout done and over with, I couldn't get home fast enough, and I'm definitely skipping the hot yoga class I was going to do this morning too. Yesterday heat record of 105, the hottest it's been here in 92 years - ugghhh. Today's high predicted to be 102 - Heat wave is supposed to break tonight, I can only hope.
So today: gonna rest and stay indoors. I have already prepared a lovely, cold linquine salad with veggies for dinner and marinating some chicken breasts for the George Foreman grill, gotta have something cool to eat in this heat. Hopefully rent a DVD and just CHILL.

Ran 4.25 miles this morning, woke up late so the sun was up, I really prefer running very early, but I didn't want to not go today, so I sucked it up and got out there. Really hot, but did it anyhow. Cooling off with some cereal and few clicks on SP, then I'm headed to hot yoga class for an hour to sweat some more. Then it's gonna be home for a refreshing shower and chill in the A/C. Whatever else I do today is gonna be inside, not even in the mood for pool, just too danged hot. Hope everyone is staying cool - keep on sparking.

Couldn't make it to kickboxing class last night, kinda mad about that and it's a long story, so to sum it all up....
I missed burning over 700 calories from not going to class but I burned plenty. I mowed the lawn, man-handled the weedeater, swept the driveway, two loads of laundry (all folded and put away), cleaned bathroom, washed living room windows, vacuumed entire house, polished kitchen countertops, mopped and waxed the kitchen floor - took me four hours. Burned approx. 716 calories anyway.
I will never be defeated in accomplishing my daily goals, just because something else gets in the way, doesn't mean it's gonna defeat me or break me. There's always a way.
You can take away my gym, but not my energetic, determined soul. I'm a fighter, I'm in it to win it no matter how many rounds it takes. I'm going for the knockout, no TKO's.

Got up 4:30 this morning for a much needed run. Did 3.8 miles, that was all we had time for. When I got back I was sitting outside on our swing trying to cool down a bit before my shower. I looked down at my legs as I was taking my shoes off and noticed...
HOLY HAM - I have shins now. They are no longer hiding under fat. WOW, I was totally diggin the fact that I could see my shins - an honest to gosh "shin dig". Woo hoo for small changes that are taking place in my new body. I'm diggin it. Corny but true.
