3160 miles

Monday, May 10, 2010

Back from my cross country road trip. Drove 3160 miles in 4-1/2 days, gorgeous scenery in some places, boring in others. Had a great time with my BFF. The most picturesque state was Wyoming, absolutely beautiful even if we did run into an ice/snow storm and Lake Tahoe is absolutely gorgeous. Happy to be home but sad to leave my BFF in San Francisco. Now back on track with Spark, I missed all my spark buddies in the last 10 days. Hope to spend some time today catching up with everyone.

Welcome back! That is amazing how much territory you crossed! Wow~ I am impressed, since I am kinda scared of motorcycles, but they are WAY fun! How nice to have the opportunity to do this!

Sleep Deprived

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

This week has seemed like the longest week of my life for some reason. I have been staying up late, working out early in the morning. Last night I just couldn't stay up late, I needed to catch up on some much needed rest emoticon. I didn't get up for my morning workout this morning either. I feel really guilty about that, but I know my body needed the rest, so I will just have to squeeze in a workout at some point today. My body needed to just emoticon, I've been on the "go" a little too much lately. I listened and I feel refreshed today. REST, it does the body good. emoticon

Don't feel guilty. Your body knows what it needs... and today it was rest.
Good for you for listening and obeying.

Keep listening to yourself hun, you were running on autopilot there for a while. Its best to give yourself one free day and there's always tomorrow again, takecare

Yup, waking early and staying up late will definitely catch up with you and they say we cant really make up for sleep deprivation. So, as you can see I have read the info but cant seem to get myself on a schedule to better sleep routines. I need to make a goal of that I know. I did get up and get my PT in this am so am feeling good and it was in part due to your inspiration. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Smoothie Run

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Got up at 4:30 this morning for a two mile run, then my sister made us homemade smoothies with raspberries, blackberries, yogurt and skim milk. Workoutfor the day - DONE - yippie !!! They say it takes at least 21 days to start a habit, and we are on day 4 of our early morning workouts - so far, so good. Have a busy day ahead, hope that run will energize me enough to make it through the day, but darn it, I don't have a banana for a mid-morning snack.

Craving More

Monday, April 26, 2010

I have been exercising more lately and the funny thing is that I still crave more? What on earth could be wrong with me. I am now planning two to three workouts a day, (2 mile run in the a.m., 2 mile walk at lunch and then dvd or wii before dinner) I'm addicted. I went for a walk yesterday, and ending up running - seems my body is wanting more and more from me. I'm loving it. Has this ever happened to you?

ya, I have been there. it's called "on a roll!" and I say, GO WITH IT! Wahoo! ; ) I go up and down, but if you stay "up" I say, more power to you, because, truly, our bodies are MADE to move. Our society keeps us sick by the way we have created a sitting society (something like that : ) but your body thanks you for moving, I am sure of it. Good for you.

LOL, love the blog because I felt the same way this weekend, I kept asking myself "Did you give up one addiction (smoking) to get another (exercising)" But I think we could be doing worse things for ourselves. Great job and stay motivated. emoticon

Wow!!! Well I've certainly never craved exercise much less done it three times in one day! emoticon

I will admit this past week was very difficult for me. Not walking or going to the gym really demotivated me completely. emoticon

FYI, I'd hardly say anything is "wrong with you" emoticon. Grats on getting to this point. What an amazing job you've done! emoticon
