Back on My Game

After an absolutely horrible weekend, I'm back on my game. I suffered a horrible migraine on Friday afternoon, that spilled over into Saturday morning. I still wasn't feeling up to par on Saturday evening, but then Sunday morning I woke up feeling utterly exhausted. Used the whole day on Sunday to rest, and believe me I rested. A migraine will take a lot out of you, leave you feeling completely wiped out. But I am so glad it is over and I'm back on my game, don't think I will run at lunch today, but will definitely give it my all for a brisk walk. Hope everyone enjoyed their weeked.

Lost a 1/2 pound this week, kinda depressing but hey...1/2 pound loss is better than none at all or a gain. Gonna stay positive despite the depressing number on the scale. Enjoy your weekend. Gonna keep on sparking !!!

No Cooking Tonight

Buy one foot long, get one free today at Subway. Gonna get one for hubby and daughter so I can spend a little extra time exercising tonight - I'll probably just have a light snack when I'm done. emoticon no cooking for me tonight.

    I LOVE the no cooking part!!!! I don't like dinner, my least favorite meal. I have tried everything I can think of to change my mind. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. Wish my hub liked Subway, he doesn't the old poo!

Runnin and Runnin and Runnin

Decided I would try running again, getting bored with some of my workouts, so what the heck, gonna give running another shot. For extra motivation, I signed up to run a 5K at my daughter's school in May, all proceeds go to charity, so even better. I ran yesterday on my lunch break, who cares if i'm all sweaty when I get done, if I let that stop me I would be missing out on an hour of exercise. I have been slowly working up to running during my walks anyway, so last week I pulled a Forrest Gump," I just kept runnin, and runnin and runnin" and it actually felt great. Yesterday I ran 2 miles at lunch and walked the third mile. I have put myself up to the challenge. I may not be as fast as I would like to be YET, but heck, I CAN RUN !!! I have also decided that i am shooting for a personal best time to finish the race - I'm giving it my all - it's all or nothing.

    Omg you people who start running scare me! I can't imagine waking up some day and deciding I wanted to go for a run. lol emoticon

I'm super excited for you though. I think that is so very awesome. It's a big inspiration. It's also a huge milestone for you.

When you're starting to slow a little, just pretend there is a emoticon chasing you.
