I Rolled Outta Bed

I said I was gonna do it and I did. I rolled outta bed 45 minutes earlier to get in a workout before work. I have been wanting to do this for a while, but just plain lazy in the mornings. I asked my sister if she would mind waking me up since I can easily smack the snooze button, so I set my clock and I knew I better not hit the snooze because she would be coming to wake me up in a few, so I just rolled outta bed and surprised myself, hubby and her for already being up. I did my 20-minute quick latin dance workout DVD. Boy, do I feel great this morning, but the best part is knowing I could just get up. Gonna do it again tomorrow. Busy day planned - gonna run two miles at lunch (brought some gym clothes to work) then after work today going to gym for some strength training, and depending on how I feel I may just do some more cardio. I'm on a roll. Maybe even treat myself to a strawberry smoothie on my way home. Hope everyone has a great day. Wish me luck in getting up in the morning.

    Wow! Go you!!!! You are my inspiration. Maybe I'll try tp go to bed a little earlier so I can get up earlier to work out. By the way, the planning meals in advance is working like a charm. I had a successful weekend thanks to your advice. Keep it up, you can do it!!

    You CAN do it. Just keep PICTURING yourself doing it, and you will! I am impressed with your energy. Thanks again for being such a positive influence. I don't like working out in the a.m. but I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. However, I was thinking of getting my walking tape out and doing a 20 minute walk, or two miles, whichever, and I think I would feel like you: lively for the day,like I started out well! See, you "sparked" me! good job! emoticon

    Awesome! It only takes about a week, and then your internal alarm clock wakes you up - then its just a matter of putting your feet on the floor LOL!! Kudos to you, morning workouts are awesome they really start your day off great! emoticon

Need Advice

I belong to a SP team "25-50 pounds to lose". I no longer fit in that description (yeah), but do you still participate with them or does Spark etiquette say you dismiss yourself from the team? Anyone know?

    If you like the team and have been encouraged and motivated while on it - and you want to stay - take the opportunity to "pay it forward" to others who are in the same boat you used to be in. Since your "ship has sailed" so to speak... you can speak from experience and share what's worked for you.

    Nah, you can stay. An example would be at Weigh Watchers, when you achieve your goal, and you stay on for the encouragement. However, I agree, it is up to you. You may want to join a different team which suits you better at this time in your life. For instance, had I a disease and was cured of it, I may not stay on that team...or I may, just to keep in touch. ?? Depends, if you want their news letters etc. Have fun! Congrats again!

  I agree, if you enjoy the team and want to stay, with nothing wrong with that. maybe there are people you want to support on their journey. maybe add a team that does fit your next goal. either way I think its ok whatever you choose for you

Quiet Evening

Sheesh, quite a busy weekend, finally winding down and enjoying a quiet evening at home. trying to relax before back to the office tomorrow. Beautiful weather this weekend, even squeezed in a bike ride to Sandbrige this afternoon, so relaxing to ride motorcycle on a beautiful day - it's my aroma therapy. Thinking Out Loud

I am so behind on all my housework because I've been too busy enjoying being outside and our bathroom remodeling project has just totally consumed all my energy and time. I was just thinking of all the things I need to be doing today..

Fold Laundry (load has been in dryer for three days)
Shampoo living room carpet (dumb dogged knocked over and spilled my rock fountain yesterday)
Organize my bedroom (all the stuff from emptying out bathroom is cluttering my room and strewn everywhere - can't find a darn thing)
Grocery shopping (totally out of fruit and fresh veggies - can't live without my fruit)
Cook a good meal (been kinda scrounging this week, a little of this, a little of that, but would like to cook a hot meal)
Mop kitchen floor (blooms from my bradford bear tree are stuck to the floor, looks like it has been snowing in my kitchen)

Sheesh, being unorganized really makes me stressed. But I am going to the gym before I start doing any of this stuff, gym workout will give me energy, kick me into overdrive so I can get busy.

I almost forgot... the grass needs mowed again emoticon

    I loved it! we think so much alike! now you have MY mind going about all my things to do..but what WOULD we really do without all this stuff to do? i'd be bored out of my mind, esp since i am unemployed right now.

I have an excuse to be lazy right now...my 23 y/o daughter is visiting before she leaves for the Peace Corps the end of the month...so I get to just sit back and enjoy her. I haven't watched this many movies, or laid around reading this much in a long time.

It's so fun having another woman in the house, I must say! And she loves interesting healthy foods, which sparks my interest in trying new flavors.

Good luck with it all, I hope you have a song in your heart today!

    It seems like a lot, but just do it one thing at a time. Good for you for getting your workout in first, though. We all have our priorities.

    Well...at least you're not like one of my coworkers who has to literally clean allt he yellow off everything! She has pollen all over her house - the blinds, the drapes, the bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen...you get the point. She said she went home and started yesterday...going to do more tonight...man oh man. And, that grass might have to wait til after the rains! Hope you get the fresh veggies and fruits...and enjoy the nice home cooked meal!
