Busy, but not too busy

Today is gonna be a busy day, lots to do around the house on my day off. Lots of errands to run. But not too busy to get out and enjoy 70 degrees and emoticon. To all: Enjoy your weekend.

  Today was a lovely day for the MS/AL coast. Hubby and I drove over to MS for a home and garden show. Had lunch and drove back to AL and stopped into an Arts and Craft show. Hope you got all your goals accomplished yesterday. You are doing great on losing. Keep up the good work!

Breakfast Combo

Last night I made a breakfast casserole for dinner, recipe was from SP. I modified it a litte and it turned out super yummy, even my picky husband loved it. While it was in the oven, I did a 40 minute cardio workout. I called it the breakfast combo.

    Ooooh! Fabulous idea! We made chicken with balsamic peppers and roasted potatoes and while the poatoes were roasting did our 30 minute run for the day...and tried to help corner a lose dog! Would you mind sharing your recipe? Breakfast for dinner sounds fabulous!

JUST DANCE

My sister and I played Wii Just Dance last night, got a 45 minute workout, with a little friendly competition. Really worked up a sweat and enjoyed it. Didn't feel like exercise at all, just one big dance emoticon, busting a move, looking ridiculous and hooping it up in the privacy of my own living room. Awesome, hoping for a repeat tonight.

Woke Up and Worked Out

I had to get up extra early this morning to get my dad up at 4:00. I got him out the door and on his way home to NY (will miss you dad), but I couldn't go back to bed, so I decided to get that morning workout I have been wanting to do forever, I just can't seem to get out of bed without smacking the snooze. So I was already up, I put the Latin Cardio DVD in, and BAM, I did about 25 minutes before I had to shower and get on with my day. Felt great, hope I can do this again tomorrow. I really want to make this a habit, but sleep is precious too. REALLY, I want to "do mornings". Wish me luck in getting up the first time the alarm goes off in the morning, cuz it feels great to have already gotten in a workout. Feeling energized. emoticon

    emoticon Wishing you success at this. I'm the same way. I wanted to make early morning exercise a healthy habit too. I have found that - although I am really not a morning person - if I get up early and get that work out in, my day goes much better, I have more energy, etc.

Box it Up

When I go out to eat, 99% of the time I choose make a healthy menu selection, and believe me, it's not easy to do that when everyone around you is ordering cheeseburgers. I prevent myself from over eating by asking for a box when my entree is served. Before I eat anything, I automatically box up 1/2 of my meal so as not to over eat. Simple but profound. Just thought I would share. Loving me some SP.
