Sunrise Run

Training long run with my SIL this past Saturday, 6 miles, it's his farthest run yet, wanted to share some pics. (Thanks GD for taking some photos of us) Stop by his page and give him a way to go (DGIBSON02).

Weekend of Celebration

Monday, September 24, 2012

Great 6 mile run on Saturday with the SIL. It was the first time he has run more than 5 miles, and he did AWESOME. We are at the half-way mark of training for his first half-marathon and he is right on target. Way to go Danny.

It was my grandson's first birthday yesterday....

What I Want the Most

Half way thru the week my Sparkies, are you on track? So far so good here. I didn't get up like I had promised myself yesterday to get my run in, so all day I beat myself up over that and I knew I couldnt run when I got home because they were forecasting a horrible storm, tornado warning even. As soon as I walked in the door from work, I got the gear on and headed out the door, hoping to get in my scheduled 4-miler before the storms moved in. Humidity was very high so it wasn't exactly an awesome run, but I got it done, give me an "A" for effort. I was within one block from house when the bottom fell out - down came the rain. So thankful I kicked my own butt out the door, beats the alternative - the horrible, terrifying, dreaded treadmill, uggghh.

I just love this website... hasfit.com - great motivational sayings, simple and to the point.

Do you want that slice of pizza? Yes, really really bad, but..........



I want a smokin hot, physically fit body more than any slice of pizza, donut, or oreo cookie. A moment of pleasure on the lips = a lifetime on the hips.

I am going to remember to repeat this to myself, every day. Happy day to all.

Make Time

"I don't have time to workout" seems to be the number one excuse for not doing a darn thing. Everyone is busy with life, kids, jobs, etc. If you really want to change, you need to make time. It is totally possible.



Get up an hour earlier, use your lunch hour, walk or bike whenever you can, etc. It's up to you to find the time. Make it happen.

my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 105 pounds. she went from a size 24 to a size 10. all her health issues dropped off as the 105 pounds dropped off.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60. i went from a size 18 to a size 10 shorts and medium tops from a 1 or 2x.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal
