Enjoyed a FANTASTIC weekend, structured workouts fell by the wayside just a tad, but I improvised and still got in the exercise, glad to report I'm back on track today.
FANTASTIC Friday: morning started with a WOW !!! Got on the scale and this is what I saw, a two pound loss...
This is the lowest I have been since high school, looks out 130's I'm heading your direction, FINALLY!!!!
FANTASTIC Food: Cooked my BFF's famous pork bbq recipe, it was my first attempt, and man-ole-man was that the best BBQ I've ever had, sooo yummy (not as good as hers, though). Slow roasted for 11 hours. Had the kids over for dinner and it was a huge hit. Not as many leftovers and I would have like to had, but still some to freeze for meals later on.
FANTASTIC Saturday: We were visiting a family member at the hospital on Saturday, and my husband dragged me into the gift shop. I couldn't figure out why in the heck he wanted to stop in there, but then I realized why. Holy Ham, they had a whole shelf of collectable shoes. How did my "shoe radar" not detect this? I collect miniature shoes (I'm sure this is not a surprise to those who know that I'm a shoe fanatic), but he was so sweet to buy me this one to add to my collection.
Stopped into Target to get some essentials and just happened to pass the shoes, haha. I always "just happen" to pass the shoe department and Holy Ham, my favorite four letter word... S A L E !!!, even better "CLEARANCE SALE". I got three new pair of shoes for $25.00 (total)(, how's that for a bargain? I just couldn't resist.
And Harley likes shoes too, boxes that is.
FANTASTIC Sunday: Enjoyed football playoffs at Maria's - Yeah, the Giants are heading to the superbowl. Great end to a great weekend.
Looking forward to a great week of workouts, nothing on the calendar this week, except lots of ME time.

I did my 22 minute Spark workout before heating up leftovers, last night. Then I decided to get on the treadmill before American Idol, did 40 minutes on that. Ate well within calorie range today, so I will call today another SUCCESS.
Well tonight is my night to stay up late since Iím off tomorrow . I WILL do my Spark DVD Cardio-Sculpt workout late tonight and I WILL walk on the treadmill while watching Greyís Anatomy.
Notice the capital "I WILL", which brings me to an article I read...
"You are more likely to follow through if you say "I will" do my workout rather than "I will work out this week".
It's a pact you make with yourself, and we wouldn't want to let ourselves down. I WILL, You Will, We all Will.
Tomorrow on my day off and i will be attending my sisterís graduation ceremony, she is graduating from nursing school as an LPN, yeah for her, sheís done a great job, so proud of her. Only 8 more months and she will be an RN. Stop by her page (GR8CGRM) to give her a Woo Hoo and Congrats.
I mighthave time to hit up our local thrift store to see if they have good bargins and anything I can't live without and do the grocery shopping, this FREAK is out of fruit, lol. Canít live without my fruit.
Gonna cook some salmon tonight, itís my first attempt and ppl tell me itís hard to cook since you donít want it under cooked or over cooked, so it may just wind up in the trash, but thereís always the good old back up plan Ė Grilled Cheese sandwiches.
I will be MIA for the weekend, but return on Monday for a full report and accountability, until then.... enjoy your weekend, love to all. Keep on SPARKING yall.

You can call me the Oscar Meyer Weiner, cuz Iím hot and on a roll Ė muahahahaha.
I couldnít wait to get to blog this morning, Iím so excited. Hereís how day 3 went.
I got home and hubby had bought me some beautiful flowers and a balloon for our anniversary, he wasnít supposed to get me anything, but I was happy he did.
We decided to go out to dinner anyway, I had the chicken salad plate and it was yummy.
After dinner we went home, he layed down to watch TV and I decided to hit the treadmill for an hour.
I did three miles, fairly slow but I eventually worked up to jogging a mile, and it felt great, no pain. I felt like I could have run forever. I decided not to overdue it and stopped after running the mile then I did another mile as a cool down. I was so excited that I finally ran a little. After the treadmill I stretched out really good and iced the hip and knee, just as a precaution. Boy did I feel great after that.
This morning I got 20 points on the spark wheel and 25 on the bonus spin Ė holy ham, doesnít take much to excite me, lol. And my daily shoe calendar features one hot shoe today, woo hoo again Ė and itís in PURPLE, my fav, but where would I ever wear those if I had a pair? a little too fancy for the office.
So day three was a smashing success Ė I ate within range and got a jog in, did I mention how excited I was to jog
Tonight (Day 4) is the 22 minute cardio blast workout with SPARK DVD, then I was going to ride my bike while I watch American Idol.
Did I mention how estatic I am, can you feel the excitement? Sheer elation, over joyed to the max. Look out...... I'm back with a score to settle with myself.

Last night I did the Short Cardio and Tone workout on the SPARK DVD for a total of 26 minutes and burned 158 calories, not bad for a short workout, however I did find myself huffing and puffing, so it was definitely a good workout.
After the SPARK workout I hopped on the Nordic Trak for 25 minutes, woo hoo.
I think I've found my exercise mojo again, FINALLY !!!!! I need to keep the momentum going.
What keeps you in the mood for exercise? How do you stay motivated?

The moment of truth...... My new "secret" workout is about to be revealed. Drum roll please.........
I have challenged myself to do 28-days of an exercise plan.
I started the 28-day Boot-Camp DVD with Coach Nicole on Sunday, January 16th.
I was chosen from SparkPeople for a special opportunity to receive the new SparkPeople 28-Day Bootcamp workout DVD for free and to post a review of this product. Thanks SparkPeople, I appreciate the new DVD and the opportunity to provide my opinion. The following is my review:
I think the term "Boot Camp" can really scare the bejeezies out of most people, me included. The Boot Camp is a 28-day program chosen from the workouts available on the DVD, a mix and match of workouts for each day. Each segment is broken down into 10, 20 and a 30 minute workouts, designed for a boost of cardio, combined with toning exercises.
I wanted look at this DVD from a beginners point of view as I have friends and family that will benefit from a beginner's exercise program. I liked the 30 minute workout, it provides just enough to get the heart rate up and it has toning moves incorporated. If also offers three modifications of the same exercise so the workouts can be done by beginners, intermediate and advanced. You only need a mat and some hand weights, which makes exercising at home economical.
Even though I would consider myself an "advanced exerciser" I feel I can also benefit from this DVD - I can do the high impact version and it's still a fun workout - and I can sure use some toning in just the right places. I saw a lot of the basic, fundamental exercises being performed on this DVD...
YES, basics and fundamentals do WORK !!!!
And I won't lie.... my thighs were pretty sore the day after (I haven't worked those muscle groups in a while), which means I did it right, lol.
I recommend this DVD to everyone - get yours today, and share with your friends. It can easily be added into your current fitness routine or it can be used as a solitary program, your choice.
We all have seen and know the difference that SparkPeople has made in the life of millions of people, MYSELF included. Let's support SparkPeople in their efforts to reach the masses by spreading the SPARK and purchasing the new DVD. It's available at Target and you even get 250 SparkPoints for buying the DVD at Target.
"I received this DVD for free from SparkPeople and did not receive any form of payment for my review."
