Big plateau

I have been on a plateau for months And now am slowly putting weight on. I have been excersizing daily. Might need to push up the intensity some. I have been eating healthy if sometimes too much. But no matter what I do. Nothing changes. You know what I still love my body for what it gives me every day. I feel good and life is too short to worry about it too much it will come with time. Thanks to Spark people I know this after years of working on it. I know it will come.

As I work my 4th night shift this week I feel my sleep has been good each day. But not not great. I feel like my schedule is out of wack some. I have worked nights for a few years now and it has never been a problem but this week I am not sleeping well. I usually ride my bike to work and it has been drizzling all week so no bike ride maybe that is the issue I need that little bit of excersize to clear the cobwebs in the morning.

Plateaus

I am working hard to lose that last 5 pounds for a month now. It just won't budge. At 50 should I just give in and let it stay there or should I fight for the last of the weight. I am happy with my body and my life. Is it time to work on maintenance. Something for me to think about.

  you can keep fighting your body, or you can stop and look at those last 5 pounds. are they vanity weight? do you want to lose them for a round number? do you think those pounds lost will make you a size smaller? you could go in to maintenance and find they left on their own.

The ICU I work in won a big award this week. We worked hard on this as a group and it feels good to have our efforts rewarded. My favorite football team the Broncos are rolling over teams like nothing. I met my activity goals yesterday. So far this is a great week.
