I would like to break my streak and go 7 days staying within my calorie range. And I would like to lose 1 pound.

    Well I achieved 50% of my goals, I lost 1 pound but I only stayed within my calorie range for 4 days. I'll try again this week. Even though I may not have stayed within my calorie range, I enjoyed everything I ate and was more conscious about my eating, so it was still a win. emoticon

sparkcoach question: are your friends positive or negetive health influences?

My spark friends are great positive influences, They keep me coming back. But I do have friends that are negative. There's some that Get angry when I'd rather walk on my breaks then just lounge in the break room. I invite them but they refuse for all kinds of reasons. During potlucks they make comments on how small my portions are. I'm not depriving myself. At home my bff (hubby) brings home unhealthy snacks. Throws fits when I'd rather cook in then eat out or would all together like to skip the candy shops. He says he wants to help me and he's been getting better but these actions are negative because I feel like the bad guy. He's positive cause he'll work out with me once a week and he tries to be supportive in other ways. So I think i have a good mix of positive and negative influences.

    It's the same for my office. But the few of us that prefer a healthy lifestyle banded together and came up with a fruit and veggie club. Twice a week we bring in fruits and veggies to share with the group. We have 10 people now. It's great to have people band together for healthy emoticon eating.

    I also have a husband that always says he wants to change his habits but so far has not found the motivation to do so. I want him so badly to start healthier habits but it does not help to nag. So I just have to be the good example with a good diet and exercise, and I cook healthy and do not bring in unhealthy snacks and shun restaurants that I cannot get anything healthy to eat---(like Skyline Chili and BW3). We both got bikes this spring but after riding his new $1300 reclining bike once he says it hurt his knees. Makes me wanna cry. I want him around for a while. emoticon

    At my office, I think misery loves company. People buy bags of candy, then when they feel guilty and know they don't want to eat it all, they bring it in to share. Also it seems like there is always someone who likes to bring in donuts whenever they know someone is on a diet. It is a medical office and unfortunately I think many medical offices have some of the most unhealthy eating going on there. The drug reps like to bring in treats---I tell them bring some fruit, not crap! We don't want sweets. It worked for a while but there is a lot of junk in the office again.

What's the longest amount of time you've stayed within your calorie range?

Previously my streak was 2 days, this week I made it to 5 days! My next goal is to make it to 6 days.

    Yep I start my weeks on Sunday. I went over on Friday but stayed within my calorie range over the weekend so I think I'll include Saturday in my calorie range streak.

1) eating out and enjoying my food instead of wolfing it all down and forgetting what I ate.
2) getting outdoors more instead of being too tired and trapped in the house
3) I can sleep better after a workout instead of being restless all night and tired the next day
4) Spending more quality and healthy time with my family instead of just staying home and doing nothing
5) more chances to seize the day instead of wasting the day locked in doors
