Challenging Monday

Monday, August 13, 2012

Today was a bit challenging. I didn't get enough sleep last night and I set myself up for failure. I was hungry all day today and I went over my calories by 300 calories. Hubby came home with fried chicken and I just had to have a piece.

The good thing I did today was I went to the gym and I walked for 10 minutes during each work break. Hopefully my slip up today won't show up on the scale too bad this week. I am going to go to bed early tonight. emoticon

  


Spark Coach Goals Challenge

Today’s Spark Coach was about listing healthy goals so here are my Weight Loss Goals:

I want to lose 5% (13.3 lbs 251.8) of my starting weight (265) by September 30, 2012

I want to lose 10% (26.5lbs 238.5) of my starting weight by February 25, 2013

I want to lose20% (53lbs 212) of my starting weight by July 11,2013

These are medium and short term goals I do not want to stop at 212 but looking forward past a year from now is a bit overwhelming for me so for now I want to list these goals.

Overall I do want to lose 100 Pounds and I hope to achieve that by 2015. It’s going to take a lot of hard work but at the moment I feel very motivated.

Lazy Saturday

Today I was going to take a day off and not do any activity and just be Lazy. Then I started getting Antzy and when I saw Sparkguys Facebook Post that said "Hit Like if you did at least 10 minutes of fitness today!" I though I could do 10 minuted of exercise. So I grabbed some dumbbells and did 10 mins of different Arm curls. I'm glad I did.

I also did the fitness test, 1 min of Crunches and 1 Min of girly pushups and I struggled so much I felt embarrassed but I know I will get better at them. I also measured my self and lost 1.5 inches from my waist so that made up for feeling bad about not being able to do a lot of crunches.

I'm still feeling really inspired and am looking forward to a great week. I changed my weigh in day so I'm weighing in tomorrow instead of weighing in on Wednesdays. My scale is not very accurate but a loss is a loss. There is a big diffrence from my scale at home to the doctors office from the gym. They all vary from 5 -10 pounds but as long as all of them are going down I'm good.

    Good for you. I'm having a lazy Sunday. Ha!! Did make some healthy muffins & now have to do some ironing (yes, I still iron). Can't that count as exercise. I work my arms alot. emoticon

    Good job. I missed my 10 minute wake up set this am, but took a 30 minute walk this afternoon so all is not lost.
My scale is not only way off from the doctors, but also very hard to read. I wanted to get the SP scale, but it's a little pricey. Maybe I'll get a new scale for Christmas.
Anyway, just 10 minutes wouldn't spoil an otherwise restful day off. Have a great weekend!! emoticon

New To Spark

This Sunday 08/12/2012 will be 2 weeks since I've joined SparkPeople.com and so far I feel really inspired. I feel good this time around. I love this site because it doesn't just promote weight loss it promotes healthy well being. I've always quit other programs because I get discouraged and can't afford it, but now that I've found spark people and I have no excuses because the site is free and everything has nutrition facts on it. Also there are so many resources out there to lose weight that there wasn't before. Better food choices at restaurants, websites, apps, ect..... I CAN DO THIS! I WILL DO THIS! I need to get the weight off and keep the weight loss. If I don't, its going to kill me. Thank you SparkPeople for helping to save my life. emoticon
