Stability results were high which suggests you are very relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic..

Orderliness results were very low which suggests you are overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense too often of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Extraversion results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

trait snapshot:

messy, tough, disorganized, fearless, not rule conscious, likes the unknown, rarely worries, rash, attracted to the counter culture, rarely irritated, positive, resilient, abstract, not a perfectionist, risk taker, strange, weird, self reliant, leisurely, dangerous, anti-authority, trusting, optimistic, positive, thrill seeker, likes bizarre things, sarcastic

Decided to join

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

I have decided to join the air force and i can only join after i lose 30lbs. Wish me luck on getting to my goal and a whole NEW life! it will open so many doors, also i wanted to note in my food journal that i did not eat fast food however i chose the closest thing to what i ate with about the same calorie content. I had a boxed pizza not a pizza hut one lol just wanted to make that clear. ;P

To QUALIFY for the US Air Force you must:
Be between the ages of 17-27
Be a high school graduate
Have parental consent if age 17
Be of good health and moral character
Meet our height and weight requirements, reference link below:
Be a US citizen or have valid unrestricted alien registration card from the USCIS with at least 2 years remaining until expiration (You must obtain this status on your own, the Air Force cannot assist you with obtaining it)

for me a person 5'10" i must weigh between 132 minimum and 191 max. to be able to join.

I thought boot camp was supposed to make you lose weight but i guess not. ugh! however i should weigh 185lbs. by early january if i stick to the plan.

USAF seems like a great choice for me now, but we will see when i lose the weight were i stand with this issue.

PLEASE feel free to let me know your experiences with the air force and how boot camp went for you. :)

The benefits rock, the pay is not so great but other than that. i can not see why i shouldnt join. I am really confused about this.
any input is appreciated! :)

I worked out 90 minutes a day and got up during every commercial break and did sit ups and pushups for 2 months before I went to basic.
And in basic I lost the 4 pack I had started to develop and gained a pound.

Once you get out of tech school and get your CDC's finished, take college classes for what you want to do when you get out.
I can't stress this enough, get a degree. Whatever you have to do to accomplish this, do it. The Air Force is not the promise of a career and a retirement check that it used to be. They are constantly down sizing so you never know when you can find yourself out because the career field is downsized or because the Air Force itself is downsizing. Get the college in.

First off the AIr Force was my choice back when I was considering doing this and before I decided not to go to Medical School - something I still kick myself over. My Dad was in the USAF and I have friends who served in this branch too. My BIL is in the USMC and holy crap does he say their PT and basic was/is hard! As a woman I think that the USAF is the best way to go but make sure that you can do it and that you want to do it! :) I hope that makes sense! Best of luck to you :)

Another mile down

Saturday, September 15, 2007

Hey all,
well i have gone 6 miles this week so far, my goal is to do it everyday for 21 days so it becomes a habit. After wich i plan to incorporate my pilates into it. However one thing at a time.
I am really interested in joining the air force. I finally want to get in shape for myself so i can be healthy and i take pride in myself. :) I am currently 30 credits away from my associates degree in wich after achieving i can join the air force as an officer and then work on recieving a bachelor's degree as well as earning great pay, being able to travel and making great friends with similiar interests. :D I am really grateful for sparkpeople for having this website for free, all the support i have gotten in the time i have been on here is awesome.
