Happy Again_I can tuck my tummy in!

Friday, February 03, 2012

Down another pound! Happy again! I don’t feel as bloated and I can tuck my tummy in! Didn’t have time to get on treadmill last night… but I didn't get home from Donna's til 11:00; didn’t go to bed until making “Spinach Mushroom Feta Quiche” tonight’s dinner… looks so yummy, cannot wait. Will serve with salad.

did not make broccoli soup... Needed Veg broth… really should learn to keep containers of beef, chicken and veg broth in my pantry!

Plan to do a lot of cooking this weekend, in prep for coming week;
- Serving “Roasted Green Beans & Mushrooms” with weekly steak both Keith & Dad have every Saturday
- Making “Broccoli, Mushrooms, Ham & Cheddar Baked Eggs” Saturday morning, leftovers will serve as breakfasts during the week!
- Making “Mini Meatloafs” and “Mediterranean Beef Stew with Rosemary” to be served at dinner Mon & Wed of this week.

Hamburger on sale at Loblaws this week and skinless boneless chicken breast & thighs and chicken hamburg on sale at No Frills! Plan to stock up as will be eating quite a bit of chicken in the next couple of weeks!

I should get hubby to weigh himself tonight so he too can see what the difference, if any, is at the end of this month!

Need to keep motivated!

Thursday, February 02, 2012

Need to keep motivated! Have come to conclusion that 17 day diet was easy to follow but what good is it if within days of eating normally you put the weight back on?

Hubby wants to lose weight too and the only time this worked was when I was cooking south beach diet recipes.

need something to get excited about so this month I am aiming to make a new SB Phase I recipe for every meal. Okay, I am planning for 1 exception this month_Feb 19; Donna coming back from 2 week vacation and I have invited her to dinner to try new Cooking light recipe: Stuffed manicotti ... and we will probably have a glass of wine or two… but I digress!

I am motivated! I think my major issue will be time management. But if I have learned to like the treadmill then maybe I can learn to find the time to cook!

I used to you know! Every night!

will tackle the following new recipes tonight:
- Spinach, mushroom & feta crustless quiche (Fri night dinner)
- broccoli soup for tomorrow’s lunch

Forgot.... also have to touch base/visit with Donna tonight to pick up keys, etc before she heads out tomorrow night

Yep... Time Management... that will be my major stumbling block.. but if I make a conscious effort I may be surprised at what I can really do!

the way i stay motivated is to do something small everyday instead of trying to something big just few times a week. for example, i workout daily but only between 20-40 mins.

Feb 1st_ one wedding, two days of slacking….

Wednesday, February 01, 2012

Feb 1st_ one wedding, two days of slacking…. And almost right back where I started; so in essence; weight loss for month of January is equal to 5 lbs. but why is it that once I fall off track all matters in my life seem to do so too (exercise, cleaning routine, etc) Albeit, its only been 2 days and I did get sick… still not over whatever it is.

I dunno, but it is so easy to become stressed about other things when already disappointed in one’s self. But that is life!

Starting the month weighing in at 138; and I would like to leave this month weighing 126; that’s 12lbs in 29 days!

Determined to get back down to 131; especially after receiving so many positive comments. Plan to eat salads & yogurt and berries for next 10 days. No alcohol, no sugar. Make up some soups… and have for either lunch or dinner… also want to limit my coffee intake and drink more mint tea. Wonder if the migraine (day 3) has anything to do with food allergies (peanut butter?, white bread? Chocolate?) And get on the treadmill everyday for the next 11 days – Reward: Feeling fantastic at theatre: Dangerous Obsessions

After Day 11 start to bring more foods into my life and daily total calories no more than 1200. Promise myself to start tracking foods eaten at this point.

In just 19 days... day 17 - 2 days to go

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

Just advised colleagues that I will not be attending today’s dim sum Chinese new year luncheon which I organized on their behalf. They were disappointed but I don’t want to gain back weight lost in one sitting… they understoond & even boss mentioned that I was looking good!

Feel good & getting compliments on today’s outfit… (black cheetah print skirt suit)…Down 1 lb… still hoping to lose 4 by Monday…. But not spending much time dwelling on it.

Yesterday was a very productive day! I was able to tackle almost everything on my “to do” list.. example mandatory testing should take up to 3 hours; with the grace of God, I polished it off within 45 mins!

Completed all my evening tasks …. I think I used far too much bleach mixed with cleaning products in bathroom and could have passed out from all the fumes (you could smell from downstairs in the kitchen) but effort was worth it; bathroom looks quite pretty with new lace shower curtain and white beadboard and trim….

AND in bed by 11:30 pm!

Today, I am hoping to finish outstanding work projects and when I get home tonight complete the following tasks: Pack up Keith’s clothes for the yonge street mission, clean ensuite bathroom, ask k to hang curtain rods in bedroom, I will have to remove Africa room closet doors myself and I want to sew Africa room curtains! Last but not least spend 45 minutes on treadmill!

You know, even though I have changed my weight loss goals to a more realistic number I have to admit that at the end of this 19 day period I will also be feeling lighter in spirit... I really feel so much better after all the purging, sorting & tossing accomplishments made towards a cleaner and more organized home along with my weight loss of 11 pounds!

In just 19 days... day #16

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Up 1 lb… Not discouraged even though this 19 day challenge ends in 3 more days. Rec’d many compliments on today’s outfit (houndstooth skirt with matching scarf). I actually get flustered when someone has something really nice to say about me :)

Because I like the way I fit in to my clothes right now, I will continue to get on treadmill every night regardless of how tired I am. I also plan to be conscious of what I eat & drink when attending wedding on Saturday as I really hope to weigh in at 128 the following Monday

Tonight, when I finish work, with the grace of God, I will have enough energy to hem dad’s pants, visit dad, Cdn Tire, fabric land, mark work wearhouse returns, $ store for shower curtain rings, clean bathroom and hang shower curtains, treadmill and then ready for bed!
