Back on Track

Well, I gained some of my weight back, but I am now back on track and losing again but a at a lot slower pace.

I am a little upset because I cannot go to my TOPS meeting (at least for a good 6 or more months) since I started a new job. Don't get me wrong, I work for a wonderful boss... the best, but I work to far away now to take the time off. Plus being a new position, well you know the drill. The bad part is at my old job, I walked a lot of miles due to the job. Now I don't get near as many miles in.

I am still watching my carbs and walking on the treadmill and will have to incorporate more exercise maybe walk before work too.

    I went to your page and you look so beautiful. I lost my weight with healthy eating only as I couldn't do exercise. You can do it. Just do what you did before and maybe eat a little less since you don't get to exercise so much.
I had Total Knee Replacement on my left knee and am waiting for October the 18th when I am supposed to get my right one done.
Hang in there. You did it and you know you can do it again.

My Grandson

We went for a ride in the golf cart with his Daddy and my grandson kept pointing at the trees and plants and telling us all about them. Then he helped me feed our animals and water our fruit trees. We all went in the house to cool down and he ate BBQ, Cheese nips, chicken salad and drank a glass of milk and a glass of tea. Then he played Nerf football and Hot wheels with his Paw Paw. We had a full fun filled day! God bless and enjoy your weekend too!

Memorial Day Holiday

Happy holiday. Remember all our soldiers who have sacrificed all for our freedom. My sweet husband smoked steak, pulled pork, chicken and ribs for the holiday weekend. It is delicious! God bless and enjoy your freedom this weekend!

Mother's Day Meal

My sweet hubby fixed the most awesome BBQ brisket for me for Mother's Day. It is so tender, it melts in your mouth. And the best part is I can eat all I want and still stay in my leeway, since I am on the low-carb lifestyle. I fixed some spinach sauteed in onions and garlic and melted blue cheese over the top. It was all very tasty.

    Thanks DIDMIS and STARTINGINLIMBO. It was very tasty! When I first started on low-carb, I was not sure I would like it, but I am finding many delicious things to eat. Now that I am at goal, if I occasionally want something with a little more carbs... such as whole wheat rolls, etc.. I can have it. Have a wonderful day and thanks again.

I never thought it would be so difficult

Well, I never thought I would have trouble trying to keep the weight on, but I am now at the bottom of my goal weight. So, I continue to eat low carb all week and take 1 day off and eat a meal of my choice. Instead of walking an hour everyday on the treadmill.. I now walk every other day. KOPS told me it is just as hard to keep the weight off as it is to lost it, but no one had mentioned how hard it is to keep from losing too much. So, if anyone is having this same issue.. maybe exercise a little less and take a day of from your weight loss lifestyle. It seems to be working for me. I hope it helps anyone else who may have this problem too. God bless.

    Used to have that problem due to thyroid issues, now my thyroid causes me problems with not being able to lose weight.
Both issues are a problem, glad you are finding a way to control things

    I have know this problem. I wish I had TOPS and SparkPeople back then, because it scared me one day when I say my bony reflection in the mirror. I didn't know what to do. Unfortunetly, I stopped all my good habits at the time, and now it's so difficult to get back down to what is healthy for me.
